Yup, you read that headline correctly -- one twisted individual (the good kind) has brought it upon himself to create a mash-up between two of the most beloved PC games of all time.
Doom: Fall of Mars may not sound impressive based on the name alone, but man oh man is the concept a neat one. As the screenshot above plainly shows, the game puts Doom sprites into Diablo's isometric world.
You can download the demo (it's more of a tech demo than anything else) by clicking right here. The 3 MB file contains three levels, which is enough to get the idea across while having you craving more.

This looks fun though.
I find it cute it uses some stuff from D2 (like the name/healthbar for enemies, and maybe that's the pointer but I can't be sure now). Oh I hope there's plenty of ammo to go around.
