This is totally a viral video, not an ad for Nintendo 3DS

Joel McHale, star of Community and The Soup, appears in this video making the rounds today, talking about the nature of viral marketing on the web. Joel clearly knows his stuff, as he hits every major marketable concept in modern web video and packages it in a manner that's so subtle, I had to be told it was an advertisement.

Oh, and here's a protip for all of you Community fans out there. Joel McHale appears in the latest episode of the documentary series A Day in the Life, currently airing on Hulu. Don't watch it. The episode follows McHale to the set of Community where they're shooting the finale of season three, as yet unaired, and I didn't realize it until I'd already had a few plot points revealed.

So, now that's fast food and Community that Morgan Spurlock has spoiled for me. Thanks for nothing!

[And thanks to everyone who sent this in!]
