It's always interesting to take step back, breath for a second, and see how creatures and characters are made -- since, you know, we usually just slice them up in five seconds and completely forget about them.
God of War: Ascension's lead concept artist describes the Empusa enemy concept as "a woman with a flaming head, bat wings, one bronze leg, and the leg of an ox, so the character is ridiculous." But after literally transcribing that to paper, he found it a bit too ridiculous, so he went back to the drawing board, and you get to see how it turned out.
He initially wanted to introduce her with a take on the sex mini-game, where she ended up revealing herself as a succubus in the middle of it. Yep, that's an idea alright.
As you can imagine, given the headline quote that's taken directly from the video, you probably shouldn't watch this at work!
