Techland has something it wants to show you. It's been working super hard to make sure you're impressed by the lighting effects in Dying Light. You gotta throw all these next-gen resources at something, after all.

So, take a moment to soak it all in -- the way that the sunlight glimmers through the leaves and showers the screen with a radiant warmth as a zombie pukes out its guts six feet to your left. It's the little things.

When it gets dark, Dying Light will freak you out

Daytime? Nice, warm rays of orange sunshine as if you were perpetually awaking from a refreshing cat nap? Sure, whatever. Drop kick zombies freely, like you're Faith from Mirror's Edge. Even zombies look a bit silly and list...more

Enjoy six minutes of Dying Light gameplay from VGX

Look, it may seem derisive to describe Dying Light as just "Dead Island + parkour" but dang if that ain't what it looks like. In this six-minute video you'll see some light traversal and some heavy-duty zombie bashing using ...more

Dying Light is surprisingly fun, and pretty damn intense

Spencer Hayes and I got some quality time with Techland's Dying Light and we both came away pretty surprised from the experience. The game features a day and night cycle, and the day time stuff we played was pretty average. ...more

This gameplay video shows what Dying Light's all about

A 12-minute gameplay video of Techland's Dying Light has surfaced, and it seems like "Fight or Flight" may have also been an appropriate title for the game. The free-running mechanics are on full display, and it looks f...more

Dying Light feels, well, a lot like Dead Island

Despite it's oversaturation years ago, apparently zombie culture isn't going to die down any time soon. A steady stream of zombie-centric media is constantly flowing, and Techland is more than willing to take advantage of th...more

The obligatory CGI trailer for Techland's Dying Light

In typical Techland fashion, our first look at Dying Light in motion stems from a CGI trailer. I'm hopeful this is a good indication of the general vibe the studio is going for with its freerunning-centric zombie survival ti...more

Dying Light is an open world, freerunning zombie game

Okay, take Dead Island's entire concept, subtract the role-playing mechanics, throw in freerunning features akin to Mirror's Edge, and set it all in an open world that features a day-and-night cycle where things become way ha...more
