This Crackdown-branded Zune HD is badass photo

Yesterday we found out that the Zune HD would be making the inevitable jump into portable gaming, and as if that wasn't enough to tempt my gadget-whore side, this recently revealed Zune HD bearing the Crackdown logo has really started to give me itchy spending fingers.

The Crackdown Zune HD was Tweeted by John Noonan, one of the Crackdown 2 developers who also co-hosts Microsoft's Platform Biased podcast. It looks creally quite awesome and I would quite like to have it. In fact, I hereby grant Microsoft permission to send me one of these ... for review purposes, of course. No Microsoft, it's perfectly fine, I will allow you to give me a Zune HD.

the "2" kinda ruins it for me. Crackdown would suffice

I hope it comes with the game! Since Mircosoft feels it needs to package something with Crackdown in order to sell.

I'd buy the game anyways but if it came with that badass device, that would work for me.

Sorry, but gadgets like this plastered with other brand product names are just stupid. They get old after 5 minutes. Every time I see people with things like that I just think how silly it is that they bought into that marketing ploy.

Two things

1) I've just ordered my Zune HD 32gb to the UK

2) How come it's black? Only the 32gb models have had custom skins so far... perhaps we'll see some 16gb skins.

I've always the Zune was slick, the only problem is, it's not an iPod.

Looks cool but one thing bugs me, it's just a iPod clone. Can't wait to see Microsoft's copy of the iPhone :P

Zune Marketplace has been down for 2 days. I guess the people who bought a Zune HD the day it came out are supposed to just look at it, so it might as well have a Crackdown 2 logo on it.

That thing is ugly. Why would I want a crappy crackdown 2 logo I would prefer it had an illustration of the character/s and a tiny logo.

@mrplow

No it's not? I've been using my ZuneHD just fine for two days with the zune program.

Also anyone who says this is "just an ipod" clone has never used one. It feels completely different, and in a good way. Just because it plays music, movies, podcasts, radio, internet, etc doesn't make it an ipod clone (newsflash there were devices out there that did this way before the ipod touch/iphone even exsisted in a patent).
