Destructoid's own Sir Jimmothy Sterling has recently made an appeal to the Xbox 360 owning masses to consider the possibility that they may some day be converted to the PS3 dark side. Well now it's my turn to try and convert you 360 owners, but I'll be baptizing you in the sweet water of the Wii. And unlike Sir Jim, I have not only words, but video for with to be washing your brains.
Behold 360 owners! Salivate profusely as you gaze upon the first video of the only Wii game you need in order to feel complete! RIDGER RACEEEEEER!LINE RIDEEEEEEEEER!
In all seriousness, Line Rider is a fun free game, and like Geometry Wars and Tumiki Fighters, a beefed up version of the title may be worth paying for. But if the game's developers expect people to buy Line Rider: Wii Edition for the same amount they spent on Super Mario Galaxy or Legend of Zelda: The Twilight Princess, the only line they'll be riding is the unemployment line. No matter how much you beef this one up, it's still too vacant a concept to cost more than $5-$10. It's WiiWare or bust if you ask me.

Meet the rest of the team
It's actually the music, not the video, that causes all who hear it's call to wander in a zombie-esque manner to their nearest GameStop to pre-order a Wii.
That's the catchiest crap I've heard since the Katamari main theme.
Wait, so how does one lose this game? I mean, it looks like landing on your head is acceptible. Is this one of those 21st century games where no one loses, everyone wins and get a little gold star sticker to feel great about themselves?
I heard about this a couple of months ago.
The thing about Linerider is, I can play it for a day or 2 and not get bored, then only ever play it again when I get really, really bored.
Which if I had decent games, I wouldn't be.
@ Jim: I forgot you were moving here. Some stalker I turned out to be.
@ Bowshi: That's the Line Rider you knew. That's how I felt about the original Geometry Wars as well. But GW Galaxies is a different story. Hopefully Line Rider will get the same treatment.
Line Riders cool and all, but does anyone actually play it? I thought people just messed around for a bit, fucked up and then started playing something else.
I know Wedge. The game should be called "Dumb Kid Sledding" now that it's gotten the graphical over haul.
I actually don't really like the sledding kid. I hope that, among other things, the "pay" edition of Line Rider allows for various high speed scenarios, bicycling, driving, surfing, etc.
I second Wedge's comment. I really liked the simplicity of the original Line Rider, and all these added "graphics" and crazy sound effects (Shut Up!) seem out of place.
@Necros: Heathen! Everyone knows when a main character makes some Godawful noises, like "Hey, Listen!", or Mario's tendency to orgasm when jumping, that makes a game 10 times most funner.
Yeah, this game would be a lot of fun, just would get boring really quick. I could see it in the VC runnings... I'd probably get it then. It's more of a novelty game than one which you'd be properly excited about. It's one of those 5-minute things.
Destructoid is an open discussion community. You don't need to "audition" to post a comment - just speak your mind. We respect differing opinions on the site, so have at it. Be smart, funny, insightful, clueless, or cute -- but back it up with substance. Keep your cool, keep it fun. We only ask that you act respectfully and above all: don't be a troll and ruin it for everyone else. Don't bring down gamers or we'll, you know, gently shoot you in the face and stuff you into a flaming mailbox. Each comment is your opportuntity to make this community awesomer. Is that even a word?
Avoiding the banhammer only requires common sense: spamming, trolling, racism, NSFW stuff, and other forms of sucking will not be tolerated. If anyone is griefing please report abuse. Be good. Don't suck!
I'd buy it.

I'll buy so long as it gets a recommendation.
Line Rider confirmed for Brawl

The end.
Also, cocks!
