It's a shame this first official trailer for Tyler Glaiel and Jon Schubbe's Closureflew completely under my radar when it made the rounds a few days ago -- the game is looking quite good, and it deserves your attention.
I haven't thought much about it since PAX last year, where the game was on full display. Of course, every time I walked by the demo station, I passed on giving it a try. Sucking at Closure in front of a small audience? Not something I was ready to do, especially after a botched New Super Mario Bros. Wii attempt.
Plus, it's very unsettling, thanks in part to the musical stylings of Chris Rhyne. Again, this trailer seems to do a terrific job of showing the strengths. Even a relatively simple-looking game can still provide plenty of chills. Creepy, creepy stuff.
With a 2011 release in mind for both the PC and Mac versions of Closure, we've still got quite a bit of waiting ahead of us. For the time being, you can check out the early flash-based Closure to get a basic understanding of the premise.
Jordan Devore is Destructoid's PC gaming manager and founding ginger editor. He is said to be easy to love but difficult to know. When Samit inquired about his curious bio photo Jordan simply replied: "bitches love sandcastles" ... yet, there is no sandcastle in that photo. We may never truly understand his ways.

Meet the rest of the team
This looks promising, too bad it's not coming out until next year. Must not be many people working on it or they're planning on making 500 levels because that video showed off quite a few levels. Maybe a few months are planned just to add colour?
props for representing tigsource! wayy better site than Anthony's "Indie Nation"
@Xzyliac: Making games with only two people (who presumably have lives outside of devvin') makes things quite difficult. Let's say you go to grad school and work. It might take a while, son.
Neotokyo Source had a team of 10 people max working on the game and it took over 5 years to finish. And that was a MOD. Meaning that they had an engine to work off of.
Whoa, you can move through the darkness. Neat, though now I'm compelled to add </KH>
The thumbnail shot of the vid had me thinking of Phenomenon 32, though. However, that game presented some vexing problems right before its release date a few days ago.
Destructoid is an open discussion community. You don't need to "audition" to post a comment - just speak your mind. We respect differing opinions on the site, so have at it. Be smart, funny, insightful, clueless, or cute -- but back it up with substance. Keep your cool, keep it fun. We only ask that you act respectfully and above all: don't be a troll and ruin it for everyone else. Don't bring down gamers or we'll, you know, gently shoot you in the face and stuff you into a flaming mailbox. Each comment is your opportuntity to make this community awesomer. Is that even a word?
Avoiding the banhammer only requires common sense: spamming, trolling, racism, NSFW stuff, and other forms of sucking will not be tolerated. If anyone is griefing please report abuse. Be good. Don't suck!
lost all the atmosphere the flash one had

I enjoyed the flash game, but it got too difficult for me. If this is going to expand heavily on that, I'll keep my eyes open for more news about it.
