I just played this for the first time yesterday, and it's pretty damn fun. I'm already feeling a little overwhelmed by the dozens and dozens of items, though.
Definitely getting it. The game gives a great sense of reward for delving deeper and finding potentially outstanding items. It's like a single serve Diablo experience with Zelda framework.
Buying it. I play BoI almost everyday. Had to start over once I got a new laptop, but I don't mind one bit. It's an amazing game.
Native controller support instead of a dickish message to use Joy2Key would be nice. That really turned me off, tbh. And it's part of the reason I barely played the game at all. Yeah, I can use Joy2Key, but I shouldn't have to.
This and Machinarium are the only 2 PC games I own. That being said, I've already set aside $3 for this lovely thing.
Already have the Golden God achievement and more than 100 hours on this game, I NEED this expansion.

20 hours clocked and nailed my third Mom kill earlier today. Immediate buy once this hits and I haven't even unlocked half the stuff in the original.

I've been playing TBoI a lot lately in preparation for the expansion. Still have to beat the Sheol with Isaac, Cain, Maggie, and ???. Got to Satan with ??? last night and failed. Had to stop myself from breaking things... and yet I keep going back.
Man, my hard drive crashed and I still haven't checked wether Steam's magic rainbow clouds saved my BoI progress... though I suck so hard it wasn't much progress anyway, but it's MINE.
Not like it'd stop me from getting this, though.
