For those of you who are sick of this stuff by now, I promise that this will be the final Major League Baseball 2K9-related post of the day.
Here’s the third teaser trailer for 2K Sports’ baseball sim. Clocking in at just under two minutes long, it gives us a look at this year’s implementation of 2K’s Signature Style™ when it comes to batters walking up to the plate. (I was relieved to see that they didn’t commit the common error of writing “sneak peak.”)
In the video, you’ll be able to see the walk-ups of the following hitters:
Boston Red Sox 1B Kevin Youkilis
Florida Marlins SS Hanley Ramirez
Chicago Cubs RF Kosuke Fukudome
Oakland Athletics LF Matt Holliday
Florida Marlins 2B Dan Uggla
Boston Red Sox CF Jacoby Ellsbury
Boston Red Sox DH David Ortiz
Wow ... biased much, 2K?
The developers have certainly nailed this stuff, which is awesome, since it’s the kind of accuracy that sports gamers demand nowadays. I mean, the faces aren’t exactly spot-on -- just look at Youkilis, for example -- but at least the players will look like their real-life counterparts from a distance. You can also watch the first and second teasers, or look at the skits featuring TimLincecum.
MLB 2K9 will be out in a few short weeks -- on March 3rd -- for PS3, 360, Wii, PC, PS2, and PSP.

It's tough being a Rangers fan in general, but even more so after seeing cool shit like this and realizing that they will not only not have any players signature walk-up, they probably won't even have a roster anywhere near accurate. Happens every year, poor me.
Last year I was like, "I wish Fuku had his own batting stance and animations" and this year I'm all like, "why does Fuku have his own batting stance and animations?"
Naw, I'm just playing, I still love him even though he completely shit the bed over the last half of the season.

Nope.
Anyway, I really hoped A-Rod would awkwardly be on this video.
Its been a couple years since I bought a baseball game, so I might pick this up, or maybe get The Show.
A ROOOOOOID, A ROOOOOOOID, A ROOOOOOOOOOID.
I can't wait to go to Fenway this year.
And seriously, Fukudome is in this video? The guy couldn't even stay a starter and yet he got into this video like he's a star?
PS- Red Sox for the World Series!
