Things you want: the Taito Bubble Bobble shirt photo

In my daily internet prowls, I regularly see things that would make any retro gamer weep with desire to own it (case in point: The Duke Togo sleep mask, which sold out almost instantly). This week's things you want is dedicated solely to anyone who can hum the music from the first level of Bubble Bobble perfectly down to the shortest notes, because trust me, if you relate to that, you're going to want this shirt.

On sale at Hobby Search for about $28, the shirt is 100% cotton and gives you a great way to show off your love for Bub and Bob. Be warned, this is a Japanese shirt, so sizing runs a tad smaller than usual -- a small will fit a woman just fine, but you might want to order up a size if you're unsure. Talk about cool though -- this is the kind of shirt you tap a stranger on the shoulder for to ask where they got it!

Collete you sure like advertising for all kinds of material garbage dont you? I have no idea if youre new here or not since I am pretty new and joined this site mostly because of Jim Sterling's cynical posts.
The last couple weeks have I noticed your posts, most of them are advertising telling us how awesome this and that is and we should BUY it.
I am not saying the products are bad or good thats not the point but damn I thought Destroctoid wasnt about advertising at all.. This sucks

For some reason, when you said "tap a stranger on the shoulder," I imagined this huge and greasy biker dude showing off this shirt to the rest of his posse or gang or whoever. I feel slightly dirty after that.

Anyway, for that much, that's not a bad price. I do love Bubble Bobble but enough to buy a shirt and wear it in public? More than likely.

BUBBLE BOBBLE!!!! :O AH- I mean. Ahem. Bubble Bobble shirt? That is for children and consumers. Games are for serious scary mask people with opinions better than other people's opinions.

I would buy it but 28 dollars is a bit pricey. Yeah I am cheap. Unless I had worked the holiday and got a few extra bucks. Other wise I 'll skip it.For me it's about how much I want to spend maybe if it was 20 or 22.Like I said I am cheap. Still a nice shirt.

@morbid-82 - I've worked for Destructoid for three years, and I write about the things that make me happy. Stuff like this does, but I also do features and news about planty of other topics. If you don't care for these posts, feel free to skip them. We do have plenty of other content on the site if you dislike merchandise.

The fact that you called a staff member, that on a weekly basis, helps promote and run contests that total hundreds of dollars a week shows you haven't lurked more than a few days.

This shirt doesn't really grab my interest. I'd rather have an entire level spread out all over the shirt including the back.

it's really hard to find awesome game related shirts like these online, sure their are plenty of generic ones and maybe a few decent ones through think geek or the PA story, but good ones are hard to find. thanks for bringing my attention to such a sick ass shirt!

Click my red user name for a hilarious blog regarding people who make their own t-shirts.

Artemis is the new video game t-shirt meme.

"I'm giddy for this Bubble Bobble T-Shirt!!!
Yeeeee!!!..."

You know Morbid, gaming is a CONSUMER CULTURE. As in, you buy them. And I for one happen to enjoy some gaming merchandise--and since I'm 100% certain Colette isn't being paid to endorse the Bubble Bobble shirt (which would have been something you actually could have objected to), your comment just doesn't make sense.

Additionally, if you'd like to look at Colette's posting history, go ahead and click on her name. You'll see that she doesn't only post about merchandise at all. Before you accuse her of being something, maybe you should do your research.

the bigger question, though, is why would you deliberately call out someone who is clearly a vampire? i mean, come on...

@kinneas123

I think I can object to a $28 shirt that costs 5 cents to make, though.

Of course you can. 28 dollars is a ripoff. But that doesn't say anything about Colette.

Magnalon...
You, sir, are a prick.
Yes, I made a mistake when I initially posted about The Robot Man shirt...
I never said it wasn't my site... I explained, on my own, a few hours later that it was.
My intentions were, are and always will be honest.
For you to post a NVGR clog, to question my character, grammar and company is pretty ridiculous.
The fact that you have created false profiles with my pictures are damn near slander...

@Druid01
I agree, man! It is hard to find cool video game merchandise...

@Everyone
We are here for the love of video games! I thank Colette for bringing cool video game related things, such as this Bubble Bobble shirt, to our attention. You rock, Colette!
And even if she is "advertising", which she's not, what in the hell is the big deal?
As long as it's video game related, who cares?
Some of you guys need to lighten up...

Haha I didn't create those profiles genius. You're generally hated around here for what you did. You didn't explain it was yours "a few hours later", you did it A WHOLE DAY later; we have the blogs as proof.

Nice try attempting to get back in with the community. You're a liar, and everyone knows it.

Don't try to bring Colette into this you asshole, did she make this shirt then post a blog and cover it up by acting like she found it and couldn't wait to buy one? No, you did that. Now kindly GTFO and never come back.

Y'know what? keep right on posting things that make you happy because, I'll tell it, they often make ME happy too. And Mr. Morbidlurker, if you don't appreciate being pointed to a Bubble-Bobble shirt, piss right off you joyless bastard.
