If you had forgotten that Pandemic's Mercenaries 2: World in Flames was coming to the PlayStation 2, allow these new screens and this trailer to serve as a reminder.

While the game certainly doesn't look as slick as the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC versions that have been in development since what seems like forever, it does capture the Mercenaries feel. That is to say that lots of things are blowing up in a huge, open world. It's amusing that all of the screenshots are stamped with "Screen from PlayStation 2 version." Wouldn't want anyone to get confused, eh?

Mercenaries 2: World in Flames ships later this month. Any readers actually intend on playing this on the PS2? PS3 owners could save a couple bucks and play it in their PS3, right?

Wtf, why still make games for the ps2? It seems to me that it has just become the dumping ground for crappy games no one has ever heard of ( I do NOT mean Merc 2 ).
