Thief takes the Mary Kay approach, nabs a DS in the process photo

I'm sure there are lots of ways to steal portable gaming systems (personally it seems to me the easiest thing to do would be to nab one from a kid when he isn't looking), but recently a thief decided to try the door-to-door method, posing as a makeup salesman when approaching the home of a resident in Lotus Way, a neighborhood in Clacton, England.

After the resident allowed the thief into the house, he nabbed a Nintendo DS while the occupant was distracted. While it is implied from the source article that the thief was caught, there was no clarification as to what action was taken. Let's hope the DS got returned. By the way, I was kidding above -- I could never steal a DS from a kid. Well, maybe a total brat.

Memories! During the Wii launch as I was waiting at night for the store to open, it was maybe around 4 or 5 AM at that time and a line of about 100 people in front of me who seemed to ALL have DS' and psps. I had just turned 14 at this time and as my friend was holding down the fort I walked around looking for a tree to do my business on and I realized EVERYONE was asleep. When I came back and told my friend we were contemplating for the next hour stealing the 2 DS of these guys in the front of the line that had been ***holes to us (hey we were 14) By the time we figured they deserved it and as I was getting up the courage to do it, which probably took a long while, they woke up. =\ I would've had a DS but missed out on the Wii, looking back now I probably shoulda taken it

Hopefully he gets a few months in prison getting his touch-screen poked by his cellmate Bubba's stylus.
