Remember when Pokémon games were limited to just 151 little critters to collect? God, those were the days. I can't comprehend trying to acquire every Pokémon they've come up with since that time.
The gang at TheSpeedGamers are made of tougher stuff than I am, apparently. They've decided that they're going to attempt to collect all 493 Pokémon. And they're going to do it in a 72-hour period, live on the internet, as a charity drive for an Oklahoma-based children's cancer charity, Ally's House.
No outside trading, just pure capturing skill involved. Of course, some of the Pokémanz were only available at live events, so special exceptions have been made for these creatures which will be pre-loaded on one of the cartridges they'll be using.
Best of luck to TheSpeedGamers! You'll be able to check out their live stream of the event and donate to the cause beginning tomorrow.
