Not bad, though I hope that they upgrade the sound effects. When he stomped that head, it didn't really sound all that...powerful, I guess? Only other thing I hope they include is recitals for aiming. Seems kinda weird shooting when your arm isn't right in front of you a la CoD/Battlefield. This is will be one to keep an eye out for. :P
It always makes me giggle when a game tries really hard to be immersive, but ignores things like needing a hand to physically reach out to open a door... or hold a flashlight.

I think the idea, Mr. Andy Dixon, is that the special tablet the in game character is using has the light. Thus in the first trailer, when the tablet gets jammed, or whatever, the light goes out.
Of course, this isn't actually explained or shown so maybe the flickering light is just to add intensity.

God damn those jump scares were frigging annoying in the 1st trailer. Reminds of those stupid youtube videos/flash games. Otherwise, looks pretty damn awesome, and i like how they took a page out of The Living Dead with the crossbow and being able to retrieve the bolts.

These look doctored as fuck. Those jump scares are so poorly done and unfitting. The player animations need some work since they look kind of rigid. And I don't care for the random switching in and out of third person. They also need to change the title to something less fucking lame.

This makes me wonder of we'll finally see High Voltage's The Grinder released. Man, I was really looking forward to that game. Where did it go?
God, that nursery gameplay... I was going to get this day-one before, but now I'm wishing I could play it as I type this. I'm so crazy excited for this. I also like how you have to look down and take your eyes off your surroundings to look through your "bag" on the Gamepad's screen.

As a third party, they'd be dumb to keep it exclusive to a single system, especially when the tablet gimmick provides nothing more than an inventory screen, mini-games, and a mini-map. Would love to see this on PC/next gen or even a current gen system.
If the controller serves as the HUD for most Wii U games, that would be nifty. Having the screen all clean like seems like a neat feature.

I was really not looking forward to this game. Ubisoft is well known for shoveling absolute garbage out at every launch of a new console. Usually ports with a few new craptastic pieces of junk to go along with it. So I was ignoring this game from the get go...
Yet, after watching these videos, I can't help but be super impressed. I mean, first of all the game is gorgeous. I mean, look at it, that's got to be the prettiest shooter I've ever seen. Then, on top of that, it actually looks really fun to play. It looks tense. It looks like an actual horror game, not just a shooter with Zombies in it.
Overall, Ubisoft really sold me on this game with those two new gameplay videos. As a matter of fact, they may have sold me on a Wii U. However, if the game doesn't sell well we all know it will just be ported over to current consoles, so I still may wait and see how everything goes.

Oh, and I forgot to mention one thing about the demo that is driving me crazy. In the second video, when the guy goes outside and the Zombie wakes up from his slumber on a hospital bed, did anyone else notice how the Developer whose playing the game slyly looked away when the Zombie was walking down off the bed, and then quickly looked back when the Zombie was on the ground?
Obviously the animation of the Zombie walking off the bed was either not finished, or just plain stupid looking, so they tried to hide it by looking away for a moment. Clever developers trying to hide any blemishes...I'm on to you...

They have said it is possible for it to be MP, but I see no reason for it to be. Every console has 3rd party exclusives, and it never seems stupid for those developers then.

I've always wondered: why are zombies in closets/cabinets/ect... with the door closed?
I mean I could see a brainless monster running on instinct just wandering around maybe goes into a closet, but going into a cabinet and then shutting the door and waiting?

I do not want to drag anything on a touch screen, ever. This worked for angry birds and that's about it. Poke? Yes. Scroll? Yes. Zoom? Sometimes. Drag? Never.
This is the second wii u trailer I've seen that has you dragging an icon somewhere. Dragging with the finger is so unorthodox that it was used as the mechanism to keep you from using the iphone (the lock screen).

Ronin - Unless Ubisoft signed a contract for exclusivity to Nintendo, they have nothing to lose by porting it to additional platforms, and plenty to gain. A launch (or near launch) title has such an infinitesimally small customer base that they're missing out on huge amounts of potential sales via established platforms. The only way it wouldn't be foolish is if the money Nintendo provided for exclusivity (if any) is greater than the potential profit of sales to other devices, and I doubt that's the case.

This game looks great. I suggest the addition of contextual melee a la Resident Evil (with a stamina bar limiting the moves) and some combat moves like the ones we saw in Condemned.

Wii-U Gamepad is used as the cross-hairs (see second video) for all those questioning the way aiming looks on the main screen.
Looks scarier than L4D, but L4D is a co-op game. I was freaked out by the pre-school scene... I might not like that. I have a 2 year old, I like living in ignorance and pretending in a zombie apocalypse zombies would only attack adults
Cheap scares, man! Cheap scares! I'm so excited for this to release. This may be a good reason to buy a Wii U.
