Okay, Nintendo. This is more like it. I'm not sure what you were trying with the little girls and Tomodachi Life, but these Mario Kart 8 commercials are decidedly more entertaining and engaging for television, especially given their lack of "target audience." They're just fun, action-packed, and do a great job of demonstrating what's awaiting players in-game.
There are three trailers, including the "Super Horn Test" above, the "Boomerang Test," and the "Upside Down Test." Each feature scientists working with different racers, power-ups and track set pieces to study how each interact with the environment, with the catchphrase "Insanely tested on Wii U for flippin' fun."
These are definitely commercials that would pique my interest. Check out Mario Kart 8 on May 30.
