Although they are technically third-party by way of the company PDP, a handful of GameCube-like controllers are heading your way as officially licensed products. According to an online retailer listing they are confirmed for November (though that is subject to change of course), most likely to align with the impending Wii U Smash Bros. release. They come in Mario, Peach, and Yoshi themed colors.

Keep in mind that Nintendo is still releasing a GameCube controller adapter, so if you own some original controllers you can just use those.
