People enjoy killing zombies, CONFIRMED!
Valve recently released the Left 4 Dead achievement statistics for PC players, and while the results aren't terribly surprising, they are interesting nonetheless.
So far, virtually no one has managed to A) incapacitate a Survivor who has entered and exited a safe room (Lamb 2 Slaughter) or B) kill 53,595 Infected (Zombie Genocidest).
Considering how much of a b*tch those two achievements really are, it's absolutely no wonder they have yet to be unlocked by practically everyone partaking in the zombie apocalypse. Also, the AI Director is a dick.
After giving these stats a once-over, how do you stack up against everyone else?

"bitches love sandcastles" ... yet, there is no sandcastle in that photo. We may never truly understand his ways.

Destructoid is an open discussion community. You don't need to "audition" to post a comment - just speak your mind. We respect differing opinions on the site, so have at it. Be smart, funny, insightful, clueless, or cute -- but back it up with substance. Keep your cool, keep it fun. We only ask that you act respectfully and above all: don't be a troll and ruin it for everyone else. Don't bring down gamers or we'll, you know, gently shoot you in the face and stuff you into a flaming mailbox. Each comment is your opportuntity to make this community awesomer. Is that even a word?
Avoiding the banhammer only requires common sense: spamming, trolling, racism, NSFW stuff, and other forms of sucking will not be tolerated. If anyone is griefing please report abuse. Be good. Don't suck!
But, IMO, Left 4 Dead is the perfect scenario for you and your friend's personal achievements and funny things that happen, like "No More Babies: All survivors make it except for Zoey" and "LOL Ragdoll: A zombie ragdolls from a high place and everyone voice wheels 'laugh'"
Considering there are servers dedicated to achievement farming in TF2 it would be no great stretch to imagine some people have set stuff like this up in a versus game.
No Survivors take damage after contacting the rescue vehicle." have been only achieved by people playing on Easy.
Oh and for Cr0wned you need to get up close and shotgun the witch in the face.
Seriously, it was also a computer team mate that was down...LAWLZ?
It's just fun knowing that someday you'll reach that pinacle 53,595 mark of killins der zombies.
Oh wait, wrong game.
I got it by playing an online game by myself (everyone else died) in the final section of Blood Harvest and standing atop the tractor in the middle of the cornfield and just shooting the tank with my pistol (cuz I could barely see it and didn't want to waste my ammo)
the tank kept throwing concrete chunks at me, but for some reason they kept hitting the BACK of the tractor and not me (and the tank wouldn't come any closer) and then it finally died
And I refuse to believe the 0.2% who beat all campaigns on expert didn't cheat unless they prove me otherwise.
Calling the 360 version superior is a stretch. I, for one, would rather use my keyboard/mouse, and I still have gamepads available for use by friends. We can also do Splitscreen mode and spread it across my dual monitors. Awesome.
You PC kids sure are sensitive about your platform of choice.
Meh, I've seriously considered getting a 360 recently. Honestly, I just don't see a reason to. PS3, maybe, but I just don't see enough that sets the 360 apart from the PC. I'm not really sensitive about it. I just don't see the rationale.
Have fun with your 2 vs maps. While us PC players will have our infinite amounts of free maps.
I'm getting your "superior" 360 version because I really like the game and most of my friends are playing it on 360. Also, I enjoy playing it with a gamepad on a huge-ass TV. But when I tried it on the PC my accuracy went up 15% and I got about 30 more headshots in each chapter than normal.
The 360 version may or may not be the best to purchase, but it's foolish to claim that it's easier to aim or control on the 360.
I for one am not too terribly sore my computer won't run it decently enough to play. At least I have a 360 and not a PS3.
That being said, I'm up to 37 of 51 always playing on expert campaigns. Akimbo assassin and Man vs Tank were probably the hardest to get on expert.
It disgusts me that only 2% of the Steam users have actually completed a SINGLE game on expert. I've done No Mercy and Death Toll so far, and failed at Dead Air after spending ~90 minutes on the final stage.
have a good day all, and im sorry for stepping on toes, but what good is a game when you take the easy way out. dont play under advanced, and try to keep the retrying of levels down, then ill be impressed by 1000 kills in an act. (the most ive gotten is 350 some odd in one act and i log about 60 hours every 2 weeks into this game)
