I love a good minimalist take on a piece of modern pop culture, even more so when the result taps into good ol' 8-bit gaming nostalgia. To that end, graphic designer Eric Palmer has whipped up a set of NES-style movie poster demakes. They look to be inspired by Mega Man specifically more than anything else, but Mega Man sprites are pretty versatile to begin with, so no complaints here.
The posters -- which include homages to 300, The Dark Knight, Jurassic Park, and more -- range from the subtle to adorable recreations of memorable scenes. Take, for instance, the tasteful Titanic poster above. That is comedic brilliance at its finest, folks!
You can find a few more posters at the link below. In addition, Eric is taking requests if you have a good movie in mind.
