Well, they did just release Hard Corps: Uprising. Still, it should be fun to see something that goes balls out trying to be a true blue Contra game again....
Hopefully it will be closer to Contra Rebirth than, say, the PS1 and 2 Contra games.

You know what? I'm gonna say it. Contra: Shattered Soldier remains my favorite fucking Contra game to date and I would love for this new title to swing in that direction. None of this homoerotic Rambo-negger versus Giger-likes in the jungle BS. Give Yamaoka a call and make this shit happen for really-realz.

I love Neo Contra. I don't care what anyone says. Though Neo Contra is my 2nd favorite Conra game (my first being Hard Corps), I wouldn't mind if they made anther Contra just like that one. Neo Contra is how you do a 3D Contra (or 3D shmup in general).
i remember playing first contra when i was 5 or 6 i could play through entire game without any cheat and help. few weeks ago i tried playing it again and couldn't get past first 2 levels:/ guess i'm getting old.
awesome as long as they don't hold some of the characters hostage in day 1 DLC like they did with Hard Corps Uprising.
I'm totally looking forward to this. I'm glad the Contra series has been receiving so much attention from Konami over the past few years.
