Wow, I had no idea Game Genie was still around. Is it still made by Galoob? Does it still restrict you to five codes?
Looking at the game list, I'm not seeing anything particularly recent...not even anything like the HGSS games released last year. But I guess that can be fixed in due time.

Even though it works on 3DS, it should support 3DS games also.
I could use it on Mario Kart 7.... so I could actually win a race.... WTF? I keep getting my ass kicked.... repeatedly.

I still have, and sometimes use, an NES game genie. It was the only way I could beat Batman. Now if only I could find a code that made Shadowgate less fucking insanely hard, I'd be set.

Amazon actually has an Action Replay that works for DS and 3DS, instead of this which only works for DS games..... Interesting.....
@jqm: really? Online or offline. No offense but I enjoyed the toned down computer ass fucking in the 150cc. Online. Yeah. Bastards still be (kind of) snaking.
My cousin had a Gameboy Genie, I remember it came with a little compartment in the back to stick the bookelt that had all the codes. My brother had a game genie. I don't think we ever really used it, but it was cool having all this shit on your gameboy to make it look gaudy. Those were good times.

off line is pretty easy, except for the DK jungle, rosalina, bowser castle and new rainbow road set of races on 150cc, I've been having a bitch of a time with that set for some reason..... Other than that, I flew through all the other 7 sets, which on MK DS, it took me a while to get gold on all the 150cc..
for some reason, I can't get first place online at all.... best I've gotten is 3rd... almost makes me think that people are cheating online... which would'nt be to hard to fathom.

I miss when companies didn't give a fuck if you cheated. This is why I hate online multiplayer. IT KILLED THE GENIE!
I was excited until I read it only allows cheats for DS games. I'll get a cheat device once the 3DS pokemon game comes out and I need to beef up my pokemon asap (yeah, I do that since I have a lot less time to invest in it. Prob?).
I think most flashcard would make more effective cheat tools because of the great gbatemp cheat database (I dont know if those work here) really using a flashcard and making a backup of games you already own is not illigal and is something I would recommend for all ds users, because having one card with all your games is always better than having a lot of card with only one game each.
Game Genie kinda fits right in for today's world if you think about it. I mean, I had one back in the day and it didn't work, not because it was defective, but because it was the "wrong version" for most of the games at the time (however that worked)..
These days all you need to update stuff is a spare (or packed in) USB cord and an account to a website -it should make buying and updating something like this very easy access. It'll definetly make this thing go a few extra miles, that for sure (missing no. in Black/white???)

For those of you who haven't run out and found one yet.... Hold off on buying it. There are barely any codes on it yet, and as for putting more on it, it doesn't take AR codes, so you cant just throw a few on. No one's made a conversion method yet, nor a way to edit the game saves you back up on it. There is only space for 4 game saves on the cart itself, then it complains about being full, and even though it works on 3ds it has no 3ds game compatability.
