Funny how the only final fantasy title ive been actually excited for in the past years is a music game. That either speaks really well of final fantasy music or really bad of the final fantasy games in general, lol.
As someone who went from buying every Final Fantasy the day of release, to being disenfranchised after 11, this is a day one purchase and it looks incredible.
What is really terrific is that Dictator in Chief Obama already signed a global internet treaty (months ago), making Dtoids "protest" a silly example of how clueless the citizens are, and how futile any opposition is to this growing tyranny.
I love how we're treated to all this beautiful music and then at the end that have a "song" from XIII that sounds like a synthesizer is having a stroke. God I hated that game.
@Tony Price I hope it's not Ouendan because the 3DS isn't region free. That would SUCK! I'd probably end up getting a Japanese 3DS to play it. I put in ~60 hours in each one of those games. Who'd have though Sk8ter Boi could be so fun!
Looks like the best Final Fantasy game in almost a decade. I liked Chocobo Tales too, but that got repetitive. This looks to combine the aesthetic and sometimes frenetic pace of Elite Beat Agents with some of my favorite music of all time.
On the off chance you come down with a mysterious case of anthrax, could I be the one to review this, Jim? Also, what's your mailing address? Not for anthrax purposes, I'm just curious.
I think you need to use the phrase 'I reckon' in writing just a little bit more often, Jim. It's got a colloquial, charming quality to it that you don't usually have.
...and damn, I do still wish that they had just made this game a proper RPG where the battle system happened to be music-based. As it stands, I'd be interested in trying out a demo to see if maybe it wins me over. C'mon, eShop!
Okay Jim. The way you're feigning interest in a soulless cash-in title was cute and funny the first few times, but you don't need to post a news item every time there's a new trailer. Some of us are all right just *not liking Final Fantasy that much anymore* and don't have to compare the series to a stupid spinoff title to justify that.
Apparently I'm the only one who likes the Music from XIII... The Yaschas Massif was a nice little ditty :D
I really hope Gustaberg from XI is in there, only Uematsu piece I like better is Dark Saint!
