The Xbox Live daily deal is a Borderlands bonanza photo

If you haven't dabbled in the Borderlands series yet, now is a good time, as Xbox Live is heavily discounting the series today.

Borderlands (Games on Demand) is on sale for $9.99, Borderlands 2 (Games on Demand) is $39.99, and the Borderlands 2 Season Pass (4 DLC packs) is now 1800 MSP, down from 2400.

Although I wasn't the biggest fan of the first game, $10 is a decent deal -- just keep in mind that this is not the GOTY Edition, which I've seen on sale on Steam for the same price on a constant basis.

Dishonored is $4.99 in the yearly QuakeCon Steam sale

The horribly cynical part of me is wondering what's going to actually happen at this year's QuakeCon; now that John Carmack is gone from the company and Doom 4 still just exists as a trailer, is there much to look forward to?...more
