@ falsenipple- I suppose not, but I would suggest at least reading the wikipedia synopsis. You need to know who Dandelion, Triss, and Zoltan are and the rest can be determined.

I wanted witcher on consoles for a long time but no ps3 version , the whole purpose I wanted a console version so I could play it on my current system and not have to spend hundreds of dollars

Cool news. Hope it will make it to PS3 and Project Cafe too, CD Projekt made an awesome game. But...

Meh. The whole console comfy couch vs. PC hunched over a keyboard argument is asinine when you can tailor your experience on any platform by running a fucking cable.
I wouldn't play the game at all myself, but if I did, it would be the type well-suited for the PS3. Third-person with no twitchy, ultra-precise aiming needed.
This is good news. It means The Witcher 2 sold well enough that they can port it to the 360 -- and I think it'll work well too. The game seems to have been designed to factor in a console port from the start (without sacrificing the PC design -- too much). I still wish I had a cursor in the game world -- and not a weird auto-lock crosshair.
I hope it means we'll see another game from them in a few years too.

If I don't upgrade my PC before this comes out for 360, I'll probably go the console route. To be honest, the platform means little to me. I'm more concerned with the myriad of technical issues The Witcher 2 has had. At the very least, console remove the driver acrobatics that PC games sometimes bring to bear.

PS3 faithful now hate Witcher 2 until it's available for their platform long after 360 fans have had it for over a year CONFIRMED!!! :p
Don't forget that The Witcher 1 was also slated for release on consoles but got cancelled, so don't get your hopes up entirely.
I'm a bigger fan of playing games on console anymore than PC so I'll likely get this when it comes out on xbox. Makes me wonder what happened with the idea that they were going to do the same with the original Witcher game

Anyway, I wish they would have went ahead with Rise of the White Wolf first. They were supposed to upgrade the combat to be more like it is in TW2, which would have been awesome as fuck, and console gamers would have had access to both games and not just a sequel. Either way, this is still great for those of you who haven't played it yet.

I played this game with a 360 controller and it is way better that way than with a mouse and keyboard, so yeah, not surprised. I'm even thinking of buying it for consoles too...

Hopefully they'll fix all the stupid bugs on the PC version first. Wrong items getting crafted, not receiving certain items, random crashes, bad translations, gimped 360 controls after patch...
