Cool story bro. The PS3 has tons of great-looking RPG exclusives for the year, anyway. So I guess it is okay for the xbox to get at least one RPG in 2012, even if it is old and outdated by now.
...
Not that hard, Dreyfuss, is it?
And it's worth noting that the PC version is going to get any new content in the 360 version for free in an update. All future(non expansion) content will continue to be free on PC while it'll cost money on the 360 due to Microsoft's policies. At least this was the case when CD Projekt announced it(they made specific mention of this) Still, good to spread the love I suppose.
Hang in there, dude. They hinted at a PS3 version when they announced the 360 one. They only said that they wanted to focus on one platform at a time, not that they'd never develop for the PS3.
It doesn't matter to me.
"The PS3 has tons of great-looking RPG exclusives for the year, anyway"
It does?
At least 10-15 for all regions
They said that about the first Witcher coming to consoles as well as I remember.
Good art always wins out over good tech. Witcher has both, so everyone wins, no matter what system you're on. Bottom line, there's nothing deficient in the gameplay department because the graphics aren't as good as a PC on max setting running DX11, so no, graphics don't matter. Just ask Crytek.
No thanks bud 360 already had an amazing year so its nice to get this game as another title to add to already amazing game library which is gona grow even bigger when xbox720 is released NUFF SAYD
I don't know what the PS3 library is like recently, but I know early life 360 had some of the best RPGs easily (JRPGs included, which is funny)
Keep on keepin on though, gotta make justifications am I right?
So.....have fun with those?
Now that I think about it for some reason I was just thinking about western rpgs only, but even so I can only think of Ni no Kuni for rpgs, mind you my interest in the rpgs from the east has dwindled, so I do little to research them.
What the fuck are you guys on about? He didn't say anything about the 360's library, RPG or otherwise. He only congratulated Xbox gamers.
@Fugly Duckling
They were developing that for both consoles but scrapped it so they could focus on the sequel. That shouldn't have any bearing on what they're doing now.
My eastern desire has only grown
3 ps3 rpgs coming from nis japan, super robot wars og 3, tears to tiara 2, the new image epoch rpg and more i am forgetting
thats 6 right there.
Plenty of great games coming out from both the east and west
That's a whole lot right there.
I'm not saying it won't happen. I'm just saying. There's always extenuating circumstances with any cancellation, and I can't imagine CD Projekt's not working on anything but ports.
Cool. Tbh my interest in rpgs in general has dwindled, western rpgs are forgetting what made them so appealing in the beginning, nowadays they make the illusion of choice and skyrim is considered deep, in other words combat and everything besides it is getting fucking easy (not to say I didn't enjoy skyrim, at a point I thought it was my goty, but then I reflected).
Then you have the rpgs from the east, which for many things that mostly embody personal taste has become crap to me, to put it bluntly, that isn't to generalize it though, I enjoy many atlus rpgs, the occasion nis rpg, and few others. If I had to say, it would be the stale and crap combat, atrocious dialogue accompanied with horrendous voice acting, and due to nature of the characters, the story's are poorly told. Like I said though, it's not always the case, but most of the time for ME it is.
You're right. But considering they are such a small studio and only have the one IP, I wouldn't be surprised if they don't have much else going on right now. Who knows?
Now that you mentioned it that new ps3 RPG Time and Eternity I think it's called, looks pretty promising. Now I hope it comes to the west melodrama free.
I don't know why I put dreyfuss instead of stealth. Brain fart after reading jimboxxx's post I guess.
