Before I announce the winners of the contest, I'd just like to say that the staff of Destructoid learned a very important lesson from this contest. We are never putting CTZ in charge of a writing contest again. I enjoyed (for the most part) reading what you all had to write, but I was never expecting some of you to go as far and deep as you did. You all did a great job.

Here the winners of the contest. First place prize of the T-shirt and Final Fantasy 1 for the PSP goes to Tempus and his story called Cloud's Life After 7. Second place prize of the Final Fantasy 1 game goes to LostCrichton and his story called Priority One. Third place prize of the T-shirt goes to bluemeep and his story called Item Shop.

Please send us your real name and address and we will get your prizes out to you as soon as possible.  

After reading all the entries, this damn victory song started playing in my head.

This result is a lie. A complete and utter lie. You're too afraid to admit that Final Fantasy Contest pwned you in ways you have never been pwned by a Final Fantasy story ever before.
