Destructoid is gaming news, community, videos, and sometimes love. Take the tour or jump in with Facebook:

DealExtreme has a new Wiimote cradle called the Pega Shark Gun. It runs for $10.86 and is shaped like one of the greatest creature of the seas. The Shark Gun is basically just like any of the other Wii light gun add-ons (pointless, waste of money, etc) except that it looks like a Shark ... and that you're technically shoving a Nunchuk into a Shark's ass.

I'm not a fan of these needless cradles coming out, but I just had to post about this once I saw it on Kotaku. For one thing, it will make shooting half naked chicks in Ghost Squad much more satisfying since you're using a Dolphin gun in the game. Sure, the Dolphin isn't anywhere near as amazing as a Shark, but it will just have to do.

And if you're really wondering why I posted this, then you obviously don't know that I'M A SHAARRRKKKK!

Thats obviously not a wii peripheral. It was obviously made for the Wu. Sun Jian would love this.

You're right about two things here:

Sharks Win

Light Gun Shells Fail

BTW, has anyone played Ghost Squad? I've been thinking about picking it up...

@ tsunamikitsune

I've heard Ghost Squad is really good, but it's like 2 hours long. Seriously, 2 hours. I plan to either rent it, or wait for it to hit true bargain bin status and pick it up for like 10 bucks.

2 hours of fun with your friends is worth 10 bucks, like going to the movies.

I'd say go with Resident Evil Umbrella Chronicles, I played it with my little bro on Christmas and it was fun. The Zapper didn't work out so well with it, but it's functional once you learn the controls. I'd say you're better off without the zapper, but I use it anyway for the more gun like feel.

@EternalDeathSlayer

I also heard there was some kind of experience system that gives it a bit of replay value. More than anything I'm wondering how good it is for multiplayer.

I heard of somebody finding it for $12 at Target, so maybe I'll see if I can find it for cheap.

I wish there were more good light gun games for the Wii. I still have Time Crisis 3 and Ninja Assault sitting upstairs somewhere with two Guncons, but I don't have any TVs to play them on! (All my TVs are plasma/projection now.....)

Hopefully Nintendo will release something besides Links crossbow BS. Of course, it'll probably be full of bright colors and cheer shit. Probably Donkey Kong shooting bananas out of a banana gun into his friends mouths.

Moar Blood and Gore in my lightgun games please!

The real question is:
Will it fire sharks out the barrel?

This would go great with Duck Hunt and Operation Wolf should they ever release them for the VC. More animal based shooting games for the shark gun, please.

CTZ, you know it says it's for the Wu, not the Wii. I don't know if that means it's incompatible with the Wii, but it's intended for its knock-off, not the original. Look at the "Wii" logo.

The Wü is an aftermarket way of saying the Wii. It's just so they don't have to pay for saying Wii so they go by that way.

Oh, I thought I'd read that there was an actual "Wu" (I'm not looking up the actual letter with the dots on top) knock-off "console" or something. I must've gotten mixed up.

I think the most fascinating part of all this is the back of the packaging:

Features
- With lively appearance and smooth lines, shark gun makes you feel comfortable, and give you a strong sense of shark liked invincible force.

- The trigger of shark gun could take place of B key's function of wii remote controller. But the functions of other keys of Wii remote and nunchuk (also named mushroom head) are still the same.

- During the gun fighting game, use the Wii remote nunchuk and shark gun together, holding the handle of shark gun, poking the trigger with your forefinger to shoot, will bring you a "you are there" feel.

Notice
- This product shouldbe put in the dranghty and rentilafect no matter being used or leave unused, and keep away from high temperature, humidity and dust.
