The Wii 2007 lineup ... well, for Japan photo

Japan seems like the one who will always get the most love from Nintendo. Whether it be better Virtual Console titles or just better games in general, it seems as though the Ninty fans in the States don't get quite the pampered treatment. Such may be the case with the 2007 lineup of titles set to hit the Wii ... in Japan. Here's the list that is, as of now, unconfirmed for U.S. release this year:

    * Donkey Kong Taru Jet Race (DK Jet or DK Bongo Blast, US) - June 28, 2007
    * Wii Health Pack -- 2007
    * Disaster: Day of Crisis - 2007
    * Mario Party 8 - 2007
    * Project H.A.M.M.E.R. - 2007
    * Wii Music - 2007
    * Super Mario Galaxy - 2007
    * Super Smash Bros. Brawl - 2007
    * Battalion Wars II - 2007
    * Forever Blue - 2007
    * Mario Strikers Charged - 2007
    * Metroid Prime 3: Corruption - 2007
    * Mario and Sonic at the Olympics - 2007

Wow, that's a lotta Mario on that list. Shocker.

Wii Health pack?

Now it's just getting absurd.

wii health pack? i don't trust games with the name of the console in the title (wii play? please). can anyone else imagine a "xbox 360 console fever extravanganza fun time?" this shit just wouldn't roll with anyone but nintendo... i don't get it.

I expect that Wii Health Pack will be huge, the next "Brain Training"...and it'll sell systems.

What 4 Mario games out of 13? Granted that is more than one but some of those have been in the works for awhile now...I mean isn't the same number of Final Fantasy games coming out on the PS3 in one sitting?

Pretty solid list I'd say. Mario Galaxy, metroid and Smash are on the top of my list. Mario will probably be my next purchase after spider-man and RE4

with all this time passing it's becoming Project I.D.O.N.T.C.A.R.E., but here's hoping it'll be worth it.

The only Wii game I'm looking forward to is Manhunt 2. I can't wait to use real skull-cracking actions; and sawing someones head off with a wire sounds mighty fun. Other than that, meh.

Subtract Wii Health Pack, Wii Music, and Mario Party 9, and that's a pretty strong list. Too bad there's no North American guarantees.

@Kannon

Wasn't it said that Mario Galaxy and Smash Bros Brawl were to be released end of summer and fall area time span. that leave Metroid Prime 3 to clean up in the holiday season.

Also I think it should be better to say only 4 Mario games cause I assume you mean Smash Bros too, but there are TONS of characters in it, i feel it is unfair to say it is a Mario game.

Wii music is probably the title I'm most anxious to hear more about on that list, although that's mainly because so far we've heard absolutely nothing. Wii rhythm games have the potential to be absolutely shitfull of fun, and nintendo certainly have the ability to make it happen. My only concern is the game won't have an ultra-difficult mode in an effort to fit in with the "for everybody" thing they've got going. I actually could very much see myself buying over half the titles on that list.

That's a pretty good list. We know Galaxy, MP3, and SSBB will own. I'm hoping the others surprise us. I'm very curious about the Olympics game.

MP3 is now officially a 2007 wii game for the US. all (or most of them) Metroid Prime game come out in the US before Japan. i'll probably buy about 1/3 to 1/2 of that list.

My first thought when I saw "Wii Music" was that it was a new Wii Channel, though the ramifications of that, I have to admit, probably won't work well on the Wii.

These of course are not the only titles, there will be many more, that is just a set in stone list. I expect at least another 50-75 non VC games this year in the us.

If we get such a strong lineup over here as well, it will be alot safer to call the Wii a solid console. Although I could do just with another Wii Sports title honestly...

Er... where are the actual release dates? in US at least we get "Quarter 1" or "FALL" not "whenever we feel like it in 2007"

I simply dont believe Nintendo is letting go Mario Galaxy and Metroid the same year, trust me on this one.

The Wii, will continue to sell like chocolate cake on a fat kid convention despite having basically the SAME games that were on the Gamecube! (shocking!) news at 11:00!
