The Week in Rock Band DLC: Snow Patrol, Deep Purple, James Gang, Jethro Tull photo

In the comments of our Rock Band Roy Orbison track-pack announcement, Dtoid user Stahlbrand wrote: "They can start making DLC out of classic rock songs again any time they like..."

Well, here you go -- hitting the Rock Band store next week will be Deep Purple's "Space Truckin'," James Gang's "Funk #49," and Jethro Tull's "Hymn 43." Those three tracks are classic rock as s**t, so maybe someone was listening, Stahlbrand.

Joining the three tracks will be the decidedly not classic rock song "Take Back the City," the first single off of Snow Patrol's latest album, A Hundred Million Suns.

All of the tracks are masters, and will cost $1.99 (160 MS Points) a piece.

Deep cut stuff, huh? Hmm, I'll hold off. I know it's a lot to ever expect Pink Floyd and Zepplin, but there's other classic stuff out there I'd rather have more.

Deep Purple and Jethro fucking Tull! Wooopwooop!

@dvddesign
I doubt we'll ever see Pink Floyd on Rock Band or Guitar Hero. They just dont have that kind of music. But its weird that we havent seen any Led Zeppelin yet.

BAH! I have been waiting patiently for Texas Flood, which was to be delivered by the end of the year.
Guess that won't be happening.

I fucking love the James Gang. Funk #49 is far from their best song, but shit, it'll do.

Hell yeah! Space fuckin' truckin'!

(And to any potential complainers - Texas Flood was NOT promised to be out by the year's end. It was only promised to be out period. They could release it in 2012 and still not be lying.)
