Sorry this update is so late -- we were too busy playing Rock Band 2 to get around to it. Yeah, I said it.

With the gloating out of the way, you might want to know that Harmonix and MTV Games will be releasing another Nine Inch Nails pack tomorrow. The three song collection will contain "Burn," "Capital G," and "Last" from the best EP ever when I was 15-years-old, Broken. You can pick up all three for $5.49 (440 MS Points for Xbox 360) or be all choosy and grab each track for $1.99 (160 MS Points) a piece.

Shinedown's hit single "Devour" will also be available tomorrow as well. I say "hit single" because I hear it all of the time on the radio when I scanning past it in the hopes I will hear a Kelly Clarkson song. Additionally, "Junkies for Fame" -- a Shinedown track previously unavailable -- will also be available for download, exclusively in Rock Band. Both tracks will cost $1.99 (or 160 MS Points for Xbox 360) a piece.

Xbox 360 owners can rock the tracks tomorrow; PlayStation 3 folks will have to wait until this Thursday.

ugh, why don't they release more NIN songs from The Downward Spiral and previous classic albums. The new songs are terrible.

"Last" is even more "classic" than The Downward Spiral, man! But I agree, not that the songs are terrible (they may be), but that we need more classic NIN.

I'm very happy with this 3-pack myself. Lost is great (can we hope for Wish as well then?), Burn is groovey because its more obscure, and Capital G is new, but much better than The Collector by any measure.

If they want to do 'classic song' 'obscure song' 'new song' for another pack, how about Head Like a Hole, Dead Souls, and Discipline?

I don't think many of our favourites from TDS would lend themselves to the RB experience (which instrument gets to play 'droning audio texture 34').

That is an epic NIN pack.

But I'd love a complete album pack of Downward Spiral.

Oh man, Im stoked about this NIN pack. I've been a huge fan since '88 when Trent released "Pretty Hate Machine". I would love to see some more classics as well, but, I dont think the new songs are terrible. I do agree, that he will never match the genius of "Broken" or "The Downward Spiral" but the new albums are still far better music that most of the crap you see on MTV or hear on the radio (IMHO).

I guess this song pack will hold me over until I go see NIN in Knoxville, TN on Aug 12. God I cant wait 'til then.

Oh yeah I also agree that most of TDS wouldnt lend itself well to Rock Band. The newer albums have more of a traditional instrument sound and will translate better to RB.

Oh man I can't believe they're doing Burn, that rules!

Now I just hope they play it live next week at the concert...

Agreed, NIN is one of the better artists still releasing music (and he's doing so at a phenomenal pace since he split with his contract). Capital G is one of my favourites off Year Zero. Burn is pretty good for old school. The man is a genius.
