Next week's Rock Band Store update looks like it's going to shut up anyone whining about the lack of variety. Don't believe me? Here's what's hitting the store next week:

Yes, it's so all over the place, it's absurd. And pretty damned wonderful, if you ask me. Tracks will cost the usual $1.99 (160 MS Points) a piece. Or, you can pick up the three funk tracks ("Pick Up the Pieces," "Shining Star," and "Get Up (I Feel Like Being a) Sex Machine - Pt 1"), collectively known as the "Get the Funk Out 01" pack for $5.49 (440 MS Points).
Seriously, tell me you're not at least interesting in something you see here, and I'll call you crazy. Or weird. There's a video of Average White Band's "Pick Up the Pieces" after the jump, since it apparently was accidentally put on the European PlayStation 3 Rock Band store a few weeks ago. Oops!

I mean, if people get drunk at a party and Rock Band is involved, who wouldn't want to sing Sex Machine right? Aside from...Roxxanne that is.
As for the other songs, I'm not all too keen on The New Pornographers. Earth, Wind, and Fire...mmm...maybe. Average White Band...uhhhh...never heard of them.
I WILL be getting the Against Me! and Papa Roach tracks. More Against Me! is appreciated in Rock Band. Now if we can only get Flogging Molly...that would be amazing.

Finally! I was waiting for more since Electric Version was in RB 1.

This is exactly the kind of over the top, kind of shit but also awesome song that Rock Band needs more of. They also need Rawkfist by Thousand Foot Crutch, and Through the Fire and Flames, because that would be insane stupid fun for a band to play.
