This week's VSWID takes a slightly different turn from usual, as I stretch my fanfiction muscles and provide you with an excellent tale set in the Silent Hill 2 universe. It's actually based on something I wrote for the Destructoid CBlogs a long time ago, but I think you will like it. Not least because it features stupendously brilliant artwork from our very own Dtoid community member, Phallus Knife Fight.
If you like PKF's stuff, check out his Deviant Art page, where you'll find all sorts of charming doodles for your pleasure. Anyway, sit back and enjoy. You will get to see another side to Silent Hill that you never thought existed, but is definitely there because I saw it happen actually!
Hey boys and girls, here's today's energetic and stupid Destructoid Show. It's the Friday of a very busy week, so excuse us if our brains are visibly leaking out of our ears.

Earlier this month, Brett shared his love of Xbox Achievements with us, and cautioned that Microsoft's rumored next-generation revamp to the system may end up ruining part of what makes them great. When we think of the American west, we think of outlaws and lawmen, settlers trying to eke out a new life in an inhospitable place and, most of all, stylish dress composed of pastels and fringe. It is in that spirit that Jordan and I approached Sunset Riders for the Super Nintendo, knowing that while it was important to be good, that should be secondary to looking good.
In this special, singularly-focused edition of Office Chat, I'm joined by Jim Sterling and Jordan Devore as we discuss our reactions to the Xbox One reveal. From the frustrations of having to figure out what to now call the ...
I'll admit, when EA Sports' Andrew Wilson took to the stage during Microsoft's Xbox One reveal, I tuned out. If memory serves, I used the opportunity to take a much needed trip to the bathroom because I was certain there would be nothing there to hold my interest.
I was wrong. Hopefully, it's not too late for us.
