This week's Videogame Show was a total nightmare to make, thanks to the fact that Quake is an absolute bitch to pull footage from. I've ended up with a stupid watermark on the captured footage because I stuffed up my Fraps download, but I guess it adds to the low-fi vibe. In any case, I think the struggle was worth it. I am very pleased with how this episode turned out.
It's time for Quake, so sit back and enjoy the nineties nostalgia. You will also get to learn more about McDonalds than you ever needed to know. I bet you can't wait, can you? Well, go watch the video! It's alright.

I had a teacher called Ronald McDonald. There was a story about him taking a class out on a trip and they stopped at McDonalds afterwards, he tried to pay by check and they wouldn’t accept it because he had signed it “Ronald McDonald”.
jim i would be honored if you did a what i've done on bayonetta and a review as well. just played the demo on ps3 and i must say its like devil may cry if devil may cry wasn't complete shit. While playing i had no idea wtf was going on and i was kind of button mashing but it was damn sexy while doing so. i take off my hat to you in respect.
I love the way the person who does the show about the videogames that they've done, switches from being semi serious and intelligent to completely moronic and ignorant.

You're probably not checking the site often enough. I usually do one per week, although last weekend I took off for Thanksgiving.

This was...genuinely informative? Not about video games, sure, but I had no idea Grimace was a villain. It makes a lot of sense. His name is fucking Grimace, after all.
I jumped like a sissy bitch when I first saw that first dog, and studied it for some time after killing it, marveling at the 3d graphics I hadn't seen since Descent 1 & 2. lol.
Not good as some of the older ones, really. It seemed like you couldn't find much to make fun of with the game so you just did McDonald commercials instead to fill out time. Though I guess I'd rather have that then a 3 minute Reg joke

Might be easier with Snow Leopard, which has built-in screencasting. Then run the original Quake in DOSbox; you can find a prebuilt package of both that's about 56MB.
