It seems these days that far too many game bloggers want to do videos, regardless of the fact that they have no professional recording equipment, editing skills, charisma, charm, confidence or knowledge. They just spew up a load of badly compressed, poorly captured footage and cover it in verbal sick, then decide they are now celebrity video superstars.
So I thought to myself, "I could do that too!"
I once auditioned for Screwing Attacks with my very first video but The Stutters Craig did not hire me, probably because he's a cock. Luckily I was unpeturbed and after more than a year, finally decided to do a series without Craig's help. He'll be sorry he ever ignored me. They'll all be sorry.
Introducing the future of Internet video visual entertainments that use words and pictures to convey ideas about videogames that I've played with my hands. Ladies and gentlemen, it is The Videogame Show What I've Done, and this week we're talking about Mega Man! You remember when old videogames used to be new videogames? I sure do, so I'm going to talk about it for a bit.
Hit the jump for the video, which will be a series whether you want it to be or not actually!

Why is it that any videogame video made by a british person is automatically likened to Yahtzee whether it's actually anything like his videos or not? Yahtzee isn't even funny anymore. He's a one trick pony in that department (his games, on the other hand, are excellent).
Nice video Jim.
Best line 'they were really hard so I stopped playing and had a drink instead'.
- Sounds like a reading of a bad post from GameFAQS, NeoGAF, or other video game forum.
- Dr. Robot-nick! You need more bad pronunciations in future videos.
- Failing to get on the platforms on Guts Man's stage over and over. The terrible game playing matches the theme of the video. If you ever do one of these videos about a RPG, you have to show dying on a really easy enemy or boss (e.g., Whelk (the first snail boss) from FFVI).
ehh...
Jimmy I usually love your work but I just don't know about this. I can't dive deep enough into satire to enjoy it. It was funny on that sonic video that that one retarded kid made but that was all the world needed in that regard.
This is a good video that I liked, and think is funny. Videos on the internet make me laugh and I think I would like to see more of them because i like them and they are good.
Difference of opinion I suppose I just tire of the same humour quicker than you do, his more recent stuff is occasionally chuckle worthy but nowhere near the 'must watch' status of his earlier work.
As previously mentioned though, his games are a work of genius - I agree with you there.
@ Daxelman
Agreed, but there are many people like that out there now meaning his work nowadays is no longer the cream of the crop compared to what is being offered elsewhere.
The sad thing is, I wouldn't be surprised if you were reading the text of a game review on another site actually by the way. I agree: Mega is best when man/boy alien and has card battling RPGs. This video is #1 best, SHUT UPALL SONY FAN BOOIS! M$ steals yout money--NINTENDO IS GOOD.
The original or the PSP version? Because the PSP version really DOES suck, at least the EU version (can't comment for the US or JP versions). They completely duffed up the port and button presses don't even always register let alone register immediately.
Oh wow. How you somehow managed to include pretty much every element of amateurish internet video reviewing ever is beyond me but, as usual, your satirical sensibilities are sharp as hell. I definitely wouldn't frown on more videos like this.
Assuming, of course, that you continue to read and write them in that wonderful, monotone, fanfiction narrative kind of way.
Jim this doesn't make sense come happen. The mangaman wasn't not made by koonami because it wasn't made by capcom maybe. When you had said that you had used koonami kode it was not wrong when you said it because it was koonami but it was on fact capcom. You need to do more wikipedia for next preview of upcoming game from past.
It really did sound like you were reading from something you found on GameFAQs sometimes. I really hope some people think this is sincere so I can laugh at them.
Good work, Jim. Keep it up.
Destructoid is an open discussion community. You don't need to "audition" to post a comment - just speak your mind. We respect differing opinions on the site, so have at it. Be smart, funny, insightful, clueless, or cute -- but back it up with substance. Keep your cool, keep it fun. We only ask that you act respectfully and above all: don't be a troll and ruin it for everyone else. Don't bring down gamers or we'll, you know, gently shoot you in the face and stuff you into a flaming mailbox. Each comment is your opportuntity to make this community awesomer. Is that even a word?
Avoiding the banhammer only requires common sense: spamming, trolling, racism, NSFW stuff, and other forms of sucking will not be tolerated. If anyone is griefing please report abuse. Be good. Don't suck!
Good video, got some good points that will make me re-evaluate my opinions with.
Nice video Jim.

I disagree that he isn't funny anymore. He is just less funny, partially because we've gotten used to him.
But his games are fucking amazing. Except for 6 Days. That was just good.
But yeah. Jim is like Yahtzee in that he talks about things in a strange voice and lies about stuff like blue being great.
I now see what you were talking about, lol. "All old games are good, right?"
Sonic please.
Jims single handedly going to take over ScrewAttack :(
Nice job Jim.

Actually it is. I'm glad most people so far like it and I hope that means I can do a lot more.

The original's awesome though! XD
