Following on from yesterday's Revisited article, the latest VSWID focuses onKane & Lynch: Dead Men. If you want a video full of badly compressed PC footage, passive-aggressive mockery ofAssassin's Creed 2 review complaints, and obscure references to long-forgotten TV shows, this episode is definitely for you.
All in all, I think this episode came out pretty well. Now I can officially stop reviewing this two-year-old game as if it were just released and anybody actively gives a crap about it. In any case, do please enjoy the show thank you actually!

I straight up don't understand people who get upset when a reviewer doesn't agree with them. Sometimes, after finishing a game I enjoyed, I'll intentionally go to metacritic to find the most negative reviews. It gives perspective and helps me to clarify my own opinion of the game. As Harry Truman once said, "If two people agree 100% of the time, one of them is unnecessary."
Nice vocal harmonies during the outro song. That was PRO-fessional stuff, we should play The Beatles Rock Band and totally FC every song on Expert vox.
Doug was mawkish nonsense. It wasn't funny, it wasn't dramatic, it served no real purpose. You all think it was good because nostalgia, but it was not.
When Jim was crying and pounding the desk, it was Textbook "carry on with something awkward and uncomfortable until it's funny." He even stopped it right before it became unfunny again, nice timing.
I watched the show when I was a kid, but haven't seen it in years. I'm sure it would suck. My friends and I refer to this as "Full House Syndrome". We all loved that show in elementary school only to later realize how HORRIBLE it is. I had a similar epiphany in high school when I found an old He-Man tape. I couldn't make it through a single episode. I actually called my mom and apologized to her for loving He-Man so much as a kid. It's best to leaves nostalgic memories as just that. More often than not, you'll ruin a beloved piece of your childhood trying to go back.
I love the fact that this episode was riddled with so many innuendos, references, and just plain "hidden" jokes/quirks. It makes you want to watch it more than once to catch them all. This episode is definitely near the top, IMHO.
That's not to say that most episodes aren't filled with them but I felt it more so in this one.

This bad video can't just be the result of poor quality video capture software. The 3rd person character in the video has a pointy head?
The frame rate is very low and at the same time the model geometry settings are really low? That video card needs to be smashed with a hammer if it has that many problems unintentionally.
Reminds me of how rat ass horrid Syphon Filter looked on the PS1.
Did you intentionally turn down the graphic settings on your pc to make it look as crap as possible to add to the mockery of this game?

I'm also sort of with you on Doug not being great. I used to love it, but I've become really impartial to it in the present.
