After an unnecessarily long wait, Capcom's Resident Evil 5 demo hit the Xbox Live service in late January. A PlayStation 3 demo follows it with a release on the PlayStation Network this week. Other than differences in controller mapping, many gamers are saying that these demos are exact mirror images of each other. Our keen eyes saw differently.

In the above video, you'll see that we've created a side-by-side comparison of the two demos. While the differences are slight and sometimes hard to notice, we feel that they're worth mention, and that they should definitely be brought to light. 

We're hoping to hear back from Capcom on these differences soon.

I agree. It's pretty much a toss-up between the two, but what about the voice-acting?

Oh, I get what they did there. They made it seem like the XBOX version would be better. Lol. To bad for the PS3 I have had that still continues to function, unlike my really heavy 360 style paperweight.

Yep, worth every cent.
My xbox keeps making funny noises at me.. something along the lines of "you only play downloaded games because my disc reader scratches discs" -something along those lines. I also recall it mumbling something about me using a Sony television... But that was right before I kicked it in the ass. I'm tired of hearing it's jealous complaints about how I touch the PS3 more than it.. I just gave it another black eye and told it to get me some goddamn netflix, and some steak, or I'll kick its ass down the stairs again. Damn xbox getting mouthy with me... It was asking for it.

Haven't gotten to play the PS3 demo yet, but after playing the 360 one at my buddy's house the other day I'd probably a GameBoy port of RE1 over that shit.

The controls just aren't as good as in the old days. I really wish the idiots out there hadn't complained so much about the "tank" controls (you know who you are), because those were a hell of a lot more precise. This 50/50 combination of "western" shooter controls and the RE4 variant of "tank" controls is just terrible. As are the quick time events that have you flying all over the screen.
