After an unnecessarily long wait, Capcom's Resident Evil 5 demo hit the Xbox Live service in late January. A PlayStation 3 demo follows it with a release on the PlayStation Network this week. Other than differences in controller mapping, many gamers are saying that these demos are exact mirror images of each other. Our keen eyes saw differently.
In the above video, you'll see that we've created a side-by-side comparison of the two demos. While the differences are slight and sometimes hard to notice, we feel that they're worth mention, and that they should definitely be brought to light.
We're hoping to hear back from Capcom on these differences soon.

I'm digging the art style they went with for the PS3 version so I may have to get that one now, though I was leaning towards 360 before so I could play online with my bro. Thanks for making my decision that much harder...
This comparison is such bullshit. You obviously have the brightness and contrast up waaaaay too high in the Xbox 360 clips. Not a fair comparison AT ALL, Dale North. Fanboys.
No Nick ... the problem is the PS3 version is using a component cable, while the XBOX360 version is using an HDMI cable. That's what is really causing this unfair comparison to be so biased toward the PS3. Such bullshit!
Really? People think PS3 fans would be offended by this? It looks more like a bash against the xbox fools that whine about low rez bullshit. It's going to be awesome on both consoles.
Awesome, loved the audio at the end, made me chuckle. Now if Sheva would stop running ahead and taking gold and ammo before I got to it we'd be all good.
Destructoid is an open discussion community. You don't need to "audition" to post a comment - just speak your mind. We respect differing opinions on the site, so have at it. Be smart, funny, insightful, clueless, or cute -- but back it up with substance. Keep your cool, keep it fun. We only ask that you act respectfully and above all: don't be a troll and ruin it for everyone else. Don't bring down gamers or we'll, you know, gently shoot you in the face and stuff you into a flaming mailbox. Each comment is your opportuntity to make this community awesomer. Is that even a word?
Avoiding the banhammer only requires common sense: spamming, trolling, racism, NSFW stuff, and other forms of sucking will not be tolerated. If anyone is griefing please report abuse. Be good. Don't suck!
Does Dale do serious business, I don't know and I guess I have to wait until I'm off work to find out!
I had to laugh, though. :P
Haha. You guys are on to us!
C'MON! C'MON!
This is why I <3 DToid
