Screw totally metal hacks for Guitar Hero. The real awesome hack is turning your Guitar Hero guitar into an actual instrument. No offense to the Guitar Zeros, but Chris from the awesome videogame cover band, Powerglove, has made this extremely awesome Guitar Hero controller mod that blows anything before it into smithereens. And unlike others, Chris actually tells you how to make this Guitar Hero synth controller.

For the first couple of minutes, Chris shows off his skills by playing his creation. Then, after he finishes, he starts to list off what he needed to make the guitar as well as showing how everything works. Hit the jump for the stuff you're going to need to be a bad enough dude to save rock and roll.

Here's the list of things you need:

Simply amazing. So anyone from the community want to give this a try? Also, if you've never heard of Powerglove then be sure to check their stuff out. They are easily one of my favorite videogame cover bands around -- next to Dale's of course.

Its actually the exact same as the Guitar Zeros. Their guitar buttons are process with their laptops. You should read the guide on their website.

Wish me luck!

I stopped at the theme song because how can you follow up a masterpiece? It's like a Magnum P.I. episode going into Miami Vice, you stop at the Selleck, and never stay for the Don.
