Notorious movie director Tommy Wiseau has rolled out his new videogame-based show, The Tommy Wi-Show and it is exactly what fans of his work were likely expecting. Tommy garbles his way through awkward scenes, and plays some videogames.
This week, he tackles Mortal Kombat, and I won't spoil how the match goes, but he displays some surprising gaming skills. If anybody could prove that E-Sports is a real thing, it's Tommy.
So yeah, this video is now a thing that has officially happened. I feel good about that.

That was 10 times better than anything I've ever done in my entire life.
I feel like I should either spend every day from this moment forward striving to someday do something that is even a fraction as good as The Tommy Wi-show, or just give up on everything for good and go for early retirement.
Right now, I'm leaning towards retirement, as I really want to finish up Xenoblade. Retirement would be the perfect time to do that!
Anybody else thinking this will get old? Fast!? I mean, sure it was funny, it had some classic Tommy Wiseau ham acting. But how much of that can we honestly take? The Room was so funny because it was TRYING so hard to be serious. This is just taking the piss really.
While making breakfast, Tommy Wiseau gets kidnapped by a cosplayer with aspergers and is forced to play Mortal Kombat to win freedom. This is like a Podtoid film pitch turned reality.
@ Johnathan Holmes: What are you talking about?! Your videos actually give some legitimate much needed commentary on the industry and community. What do we as a gaming community have to gain from Tommy Wiseau playing a game and making awkward comments in the interim? You do good work, Mr. Holmes. Don't let anyone (including yourself) tell you otherwise.
Destructoid is an open discussion community. You don't need to "audition" to post a comment - just speak your mind. We respect differing opinions on the site, so have at it. Be smart, funny, insightful, clueless, or cute -- but back it up with substance. Keep your cool, keep it fun. We only ask that you act respectfully and above all: don't be a troll and ruin it for everyone else. Don't bring down gamers or we'll, you know, gently shoot you in the face and stuff you into a flaming mailbox. Each comment is your opportuntity to make this community awesomer. Is that even a word?
Avoiding the banhammer only requires common sense: spamming, trolling, racism, NSFW stuff, and other forms of sucking will not be tolerated. If anyone is griefing please report abuse. Be good. Don't suck!
let's just say WHY NOT
It was funny, I think? I just...I just have no idea what to feel about it.
But I'll keep watching, so it must have done the trick.

Ah, my head.
Alright, there is now no sexism left on the face of the earth. Tommy just ruined it for everybody. Good job Tommy!
I think it's safe to say Wiseau's jumped the shark.
