There were plenty of games to download on the PlayStation Network this year. I'm still kind of new to this downloading, though. Call me old-fashioned, but I like the box and manual. I did buy Tekken 5, Super Puzzle Fighter, a few others, and plenty of PS1 games, so it's all slowly growing on me.
I was kind of surprised to see the entries on Sony's top ten list of 2008 PSN sales, though. PAIN was the number one game? and Aquatopia sold more than PixelJunk Eden? What's going on here?

PAIN is a cool game, but there's better out there. What about Wipeout HD or Everyday Shooter? The new Lumines is definitely worth buying, but it just came out, so it might make the list next year.

i love the bowling game online because its a different and realistic approach to bowling, though it is the most racially insensitive game anywhere, its still fun.
wipeout is awesome and worth every penny.
flow is a peice of art.
pain is great but can get boring.
tekken is a blast with friends.
and its fucking poker night tonight!

Pixel junk Eden? Well that sold poorly because the American public at large hates good games. See sterling's amazon article for proof of that.

What is Linger in Shadows like? I've been tempted by Eden and Pain, but Pain seems like it would get old fast, and Eden, I hear requires pixel perfect timing on jumps, something i'm not that capable of :/
The "pixel perfect timing" complaint about Eden is dumb, don't listen to it. The people complaining about timing jumps aren't using the quick drop mechanic correctly-- if you know you're going to overjump something, do the quick drop. You'll shoot straight down onto it. I don't know why this is so hard for people, maybe they just don't *think* of doing it. Pixeljunk Eden is a great game.
I'll also point out that none of the Destructoid bit at the toll bait. =D because you guys rule.
