Word of warning, there are some spoilers here so you might want to skip this entirely. Otherwise, check out the introduction cinematic from Super Smash Bros. Brawl. The game comes out this week in Japan and early March here in the States.
 
I have some more to say about the spoilers, but you'll have to hit the jump for that.

Ness we know is already confirmed for Brawl thanks to that Sticker mix up. The video shows Ness in action and also reveals that Marth is back in Brawl too. He's seen fighting along side Meta Knight and Ike a couple of times. Some of the levels and movies from the Adventure mode are briefly shown as well throughout the video.

If you're sick of Super Smash Bros. news by now (like Nick Chester is), then you might as well turn off the Internet. Once Brawl is out in Japan, a sea of information will be leaked out and everyone will be gushing over it until it's finally out here in March ... FALCON PUNCH!

Its because you've never played Earthbound, I recommend downloading the ROM and playing it while you wait for the game to be released.

Also, he was IMO the best character in 64, but got severely nerfed in Melee.

Ike and Lucas interest me more than Ness and Marth, honestly. Bring in Roy, then where onto something.

Also, Brawl Central has the Character Selection pic, if you need it.

I'm glad NESS is in the game, but where in the FUCK is FALCON PUUUNCH!? Or Luigi!? That makes me want to punch a few holes in a few walls.... Falcon punch style.

I have a reason to believe this is fake. This might just be the intro to the demo stands but not the real game. If it were the real game it would have a more dramatic feel to it. This just feels like another Japanese trailer. But NOT the REAL thing. For Example: It would be more like the Smash Bros. Melee intro made of entire cinematics and not actual gameplay like this trailer.

I'm about 99% sure that there was some gameplay in the melee opening. I was just playing a couple of minutes ago. The one percent of doubt is only because i'm slightly drunk and i might be seeing things.

I think that darthjer was actually trying to respond to burntgerbil talking about the character selection screen.

And, yes, darthjer... the SSBM select screen got mixed up when certain new characters were unlocked (ie. Dr. Mario)... so the whole "normal characters in a block" theory doesn't really stick.

...that picture is still a fake, though. ^^

I still think there's going to be more characters. I mean, how many of the characters in Melee were locked from the beginning? Granted, there's a lot of new characters appearing in the intro movie, but the intro from brawl never highlighted locked characters.

I love the music. Anyone who thinks they'll change it for the American version doesn't visit the dojo.

Also, the character selection image (the old one) looks totally fake to me. From a graphic designer's standpoint, there are plenty of things that are just wrong. On the other hand, the new character selection image that Risky posted looks totally genuine to me (and I'm assuming that's because it IS genuine).

So stop saying FALCON PUUUNCH!, because he's in already!

So far only ONE person (Vigor) has mentioned Geno. W T F ? Who cares about Ness—Lucas is in it, isn't he? NOW WHERE THE FUCK IS GENO!?

WTF is that pokemon? It's just a blue fox? They should have made mewtwo less shit.

That intro wasn't as great as the melee intro. In melee all the character intros sort of mixed togeether (Like shiek looking up to the stars and fox zooming down through them) but this just seems to be straight cut to straight cut and bits and pieces. It doesn't really seem to build up. It covers a few scenes from Subspace Emissary but it doesn't seem to be important to show the storyline.
