The Star Trek film tie-in game is still a thing

3:00 PM on 02.12.2013

Yep, that Star Trek game is still happening, and a new trailer has surfaced, showing off some gameplay and in-game visuals.

More or less, it's looking like a Mass Effect clone, and since anything substantial hasn't really been shown, I'm sure everyone is pretty confused as to what the game even is about outside of the fact that it takes place after the first J.J. Abrams film.

It's slated to release on April 23rd this year on the Xbox 360, PS3, and PC platforms. My feelings on it are basically the very definition of lukewarm -- maybe we'll be pleasantly surprised?

JJ Abrams hated the most recent Star Trek game

The videogame tie-in for Star Trek Into Darkness was pretty poorly received, and JJ Abrams, the movie's director, is bummed out about it. Well, not about the critical reception; he's in agreement there. He's disappointe...more

Review: Star Trek: The Video Game

BRRUUAAAPPHH!

It's probably the 12-year-old in me that digs this new commercial for PAC-MAN and the Ghostly Adventures 2. Burping with force waves? Cool. Sound effect stand-ins for farts? Love it. The scream-y Ask Ketchum/Naruto voice over narrator? Tops, man.  Not going to lie: I've watched this more than once. I'm also pretty proud of my screenshot of the boy belching.more
