Pretty much all you need or want to know about Brawl is all over the Internet, but until Sakurai stops, I'll keep on bringing this recap. Monday brought us Boss Strategies. Sakurai gives tips on how to fight against most of the bosses in the game. Basically, just do what you usually would do against a boss fight. On Wednesday, all of the Pokemon that can be summoned from Pokeball items were revealed. The list is surprisingly short considering how much extra content the game has.

Thursday showed people Snake's and Fox's communication taunts. Snake and Fox can communicate with their respected partners from their series' who weigh in on the battle. Friday was a double update showing off Peach's special moves and the map of the final maze before fighting the final boss in the Subspace Emissary.

Thursday's "secret" character after the jump.

Ganondorf is back and is as lame as ever. I'll never understand why they made him a Captain Falcon clone and not just another sword fighter. Hell, Sakurai even teases in Thursday's post as to why Ganondorf doesn't use his sword. His Final Smash looks to be pretty awesome though.

Have any of you unlocked or seen all of this week's updates content?

Ha, oh man, and we're still doing these. I will never feel guilty about doing too many Koei stories again. :-)

Ganondorf likes cheap hookers and I hate him for it.

Yeah you'd think these would have stopped. Even the Mr. Game & Watch one was kind of not needed.

But God -- I don't use Gannondorf either. I don't know anyone who does. He's probably the only character I don't use. Him and Lucas, who I refuse to play in some sort of silly and ineffective protest until they bring Mother 3 here.

Maybe once the fan translation is done I'll play Lucas....but not a moment sooner.

I would have preferred Ganondwarf. The sweet blend of legendary vilain, and potentially evil diamond-mining little person.

No need for swords, pick axes could be used.

Just think about it, Ganondwarf... it could be a success.

Brawl's Ganondorf is awesome. Warlock Punch still sucks, and Warlock Kick is less than great, but his side B special is a perfect setup to Smash a bitch and his basic attacks are brutal. Try moving him at a walking pace and watch how easily you knock small and medium characters off the stage with his riot-style kick.

Choke Slam or not he looks uber lame in this version compared to the melee version.

@ godkow, thank you kind sir

@ Big Z - I see your thinking, but I still stand firm on the dwarf issue. The Warlock Punch, due to height restrictions would become the Warlock Cock Punch, far more effective. The Warlock Kick would become the Warlock Kick in the Shins, or when enabled from behind, The Warlock Long-Step.

Gotta love Ninja fuckin' dwarfs.

Oh, and looking at that picture I think Snake is a bloody dunce.

A Chimpanzee?

With a tail eh?

And I supposed DK was a Marmoset?

Gannondorf was lame when they put him in those lame 3d zelda games.

He was much better as Gannon the huge 20 foot tall demon pig from the NES and snes that is what should have been in the game.

Gannondorf sounds like a dorf bartender that should be serving me beer in the game not being baddass and they guy is uglyer than the pig demon.

Gannondorf was fun in Melee. Giant Melee + four Gannondorfs + only red shells on very high + final destination = fun times. You should try it sometime.

Sadly, there are no more red shells, making Gannondorf completely pointless.

His final smash should've been more like Bowser's, a transformation that lasts for awhile, not just some quick tackle. It'd be awesome to finally control Ganon and attack others with him.

That great maze wasn't much of a "maze", just a hassle to get back and forth to each character you have to fight... Looking at it all together it reminds me of a Castlevania map...

Ganondorf is terrible in this game--this is coming from someone who mained him in Melee and who is a big Zelda fan. It's like Sakurai thought, "How can we piss off the Ganondorf fans? I know--we'll keep him a Falcon clone, tease them with a sword taunt, and we'll take away his two best moves! [neutral A/jab and up smash/double-kick]"

And Ridley, oh Ridley. Visually he looks great... but I really wanted him playable. And no, he isn't too big, because Kirby is 8" tall, Olimar is the size of a small coin, and Bowser has been at least four times as big as Mario in all the 3D Mario games.

I would have liked it if they gave him a unique moveset, but Ganondorf is far from being a bad character.

He's brutal, you just have to be methodical.

If you're a spammy button masher Ganondorf will not appeal to you. If you're good at prediction and know how to play a good air game, he does just fine.

I use Ganondorf all of the time due to his easy good aerial combos and his powerful standard and special attacks and being a heavyweight means he can take a lot of damage. There's nothing quite like the feeling of having your reverse warlock punch smash a character off the screen in all of its glory. His speed, agility and landing lag are obviously a problem though. On the bright side, his flame choke is a really sweet new tweaked move.

Ganondorf isn't "lame", he's just a heavy weigth. you need to time your atack, but with practice and no buton smashing, he can be pretty good. Just because you suck with him the first time you try him doesn't mean HE suck, it only mean one thing : practice time.
