The Smash DOJO!! recap: Snake? SNAAAA ... damn it, Jim

2:11 PM on 09.21.2007, Hamza CTZ Aziz 25 comments

     Super Smash Bros.
The week started off with a new item called the Golden Hammer. It's stronger than the normal hammer and can make you float apparently. Just like the normal Hammer, the Golden one can malfunction on you too. And if that happens, it turns into the Golden Squeaky Hammer. Which is a good thing if you're not holding the hammer. On Tuesday, nothing really happened at all. Oh, well I guess something about the online multiplayer or something. I don't know, probably doesn't matter ...

On Wednesday, the some of the enemies from the Sub Space Army were shown off. Eight of the more powerful enemies were shown off including more details on R.O.B. Glad Nintendo finally found a good use for the little guy. Another new Pokemon was revealed on Thursday. Piplup will use Surf attack in an attempt to wash anyone off of the stage.

Finally, today's character profile almost out shines the big news from Tuesday. Solid Snake finally gets profiled. The Snake barrage started off with his Special Moves. He can shoot rockets, plant land mines, throw grenades and he can also ride a Cypher as his Up special move. The second update of the day was Snake's theme song. It's from MGS 4 and was composed by Konami's sound team. We're also given a clue as to Snake's stage:

"Oh, of course this song will be played on a stage with a Metal Gear Solid motif. So you can look forward to that, too."

Finally, some action shots! Damn he's looking awesome. The Wi-Fi news along with the Snake profiling made the DOJO exceptionally great this week.

I'm really loving the way they went with the character design for Sub Space Army. It reeks of "draw some cool bad guys!"

Found a use for R.O.B.?

He's been doing my taxes for the last 20 years! What's your R.O.B. been doing?

My R.O.B. kicks it with the VC when he's bored.
