Destructoid is gaming news, community, videos, and sometimes love. Take the tour or jump in with Facebook:

The Smash DOJO continues to tease us with bits and pieces of tantalizing info. When I heard the news that they wouldn't show Smash here at E3, my heart was broken. But I quickly realized that I would have camped out at the hanger where they were showing off all the games and play the damn game 3 days straight.

On Monday, assist trophy Dr. Wright from Sim City was shown as he used his special ability. Also, I just realized he's named after Will Wright. Who would have thunk it? Tuesday brought the news of The Bumper returning to annoy the f**k out of everyone again. Wednesday brought the return of Donkey Kong. All I know is that if the DK rap is not in his level, this game will be a total failure.

Thursday brought the announcement of the release for Smash which will be December third. As well as a new fifteen second video. I can't watch this at the shitty hotel at the moment, so please do mention what you think of it. Friday brought the new stage called Smashville, based on Animal Crossing. The cutest bit of information from this announcement is that on Saturdays at 8 p.m, K.K. Slider will come out and perform a song. My only question now is if you'll be able to change the name of the town. Take a wild guess at what I would name it. Yeah, that's right, "My Anus".

The levels need to be more diverse. All we've seen so far is flat levels with a platform or 2 above them. Other than that, OMG BEST GAME EVAR!

I'm finally getting excited over the Wii. Nothing really made me want one until the recent Brawl info and SM Galaxies.

I was hoping they would make K.K.Slider a playable character... oh well game looks pimp anyway.

I don't think any of the Animal Crossing characters should be playable characters, all of them are just so the opposite of a "fighter" (as there is no physical fighting in any of the games), but I do think an Animal Crossing environment is a good choice for including the game in Brawl. Maybe include a Golden Axe as an item? Or some other item Animal Crossing themed? All themed levels need themed items to fit with them, as Melee had, so an assumption about that can be made, I guess.

Actually, K.K. would be an awesome assist trophy. He could execute massive pwnage with the power of his ROCK.

I don't like the fact that the people over on kotaku (not like I read Kotaku or anything, DESTRUCTOID FOR LIFE!) are judging the games graphics on these screen shots of the animal crossing level. Clearly this level does not represent the graphical abilities of the entire game! I mean come on.

This is the game that will make me buy a Wii (when Nintendo decide to release it in PAL territories grrrr).

As a major Pikachu user, seeing that little rodent fire a huge ball of black evil made me giggle.

If you have anyone to blame for making most of the new levels be entirely bland and for the most part, flat, blame every major gaming competitor in Melee that felt the need to play Final Destination or Kirby's Dream Land area every goddamn time.

Giga Bowser is sort of playable. Bowser turns into him during his Final Smash.

SSB:M was released on Dec 3rd, 2001. SSB:B is being released Dec 4th, 2007. Isn't that weird?

I think it means the game is done or close to it, and they are just waiting until X-Mas to make every one want their new console all the more, just like they did six years ago. I think this is silly. People want the Wii enough as it is. If they released the game now, it would serve them much better. it would keep current Wii owners happy.

Nintendo already won the battle of getting people to want a Wii. They haven't won the battle of getting people to want to keep their Wii. SSB:B will certainly change that.

Mr. Resetti should be an assist trophy.
He'd reset the stage, making the stage disappear for about 5 seconds, making your enemies fall to their deaths, with your character safely on a cloud or something to that effect.
