Everyone already knows how the week started off with the epic news of the new Stage Builder mode. The basic gist of it is that you can create custom stages and send them off to your friends to play on. I dare say that this is bigger news then when Sonic was announced, in my humble opinion. The rest of the weeks news wasn't as epic, but how in the hell could they have topped Monday's update? Anyway, Tuesday revealed the return of the classic single-player mode, Classic. You battle on a preset order of stages and will fight random enemies on each stage. Some matches will be straight forward while other matches will be in special modes such as Giant match, Team battle, etc.

Icicle Mountain made it's return on Wednesday's update. The level will break apart and there's a giant retarded looking fish that will attack you at random (from the looks of it anyway). Meta Knight's Final Smash (called Galaxia Darkness) was shown off on Thursday. Unlike most of the other fighters, you have to use the Final Smash when you're right next to someone. Otherwise, your attack will fail. If you do nail the attack, your opponent will be sent flying. This attack can hurt more than one person as well.

Finally, today's update revealed that the On-Screen appearances are back. It's stupid, but I was a little sadden when I saw that the signature appearances were taken out of Melee. Sure, it's just a a little three second animation, but it does add a lot to the game.

What did you all think of this weeks updates?

I'm glad this game is looking more like Smash 64 than Melee.

Totally agree with you. Stage edit mode is the best news to come out in a while about this game. Is it too late to dream of a change of heart from the Nintendo overlords about the whole online headset issue?

English isn't my native tongue so can anyone answer me why do everyone say "something better then other" instead of using "than"? No sarcasm, I'm being honest.

Do not disrespect the Balloon Fight fish. Also I doubt he attacks at random, likely only when you're in or near the water like in the original NES game you probably never played and really should have.

Balloon Trip music is easily one of the best from that era.

Stage Edit and Onscreen Appearances! Another Great week at the DOJO!! for sure! Now why don't you announce some new characters (Mega Man or Zero for example) next week.

Actually the regular flux capacitor can travel forward in time already, so if you have one of those lying around. Also I don't see the need to claim the stage builder is bigger news than sonic so tentatively, I would say such a robust new feature would trump any character they could add, even if it can't match the excitement.

Meta Knight's Final Smash is really lame

@ king3vbo:

It is "lame" to make up for how dominating his standard moves are. You gotta at least try to balance the game...
