EA would really like you to know that Sims Social is officially available for you to check out. If your friends are anything like mine, they're already playing the hell out of this and taking the initiative to spam your entire wall with updates. So if that's the case you already know this exists.
The game itself is what you'd expect from a Sims game; you make a character, build a home, do some activities, lock them in the bathroom, etc... What makes Social different is the multiplayer aspect. It allows you to invite friends over and do everything you previously did solo. Like taking baths with them. Need I say more?
The Sims Social has turned my Facebook feed into a continuous display of hedonistic exhibitionism. Everyone is apparently having sex everywhere with everyone.
I actually enjoy facebook as it allows me to keep up with some friends and share messages in a way I enjoy. However I have never EVER used it to play games and honestly don't care to. It's just my way to see what the family and folks are up to. I don't need all the added apps, games, and tests. It's all nonsense to me. I certainly DON'T want to play The Sims as that game is a real life sucker and honestly I enjoy them for a bit and than regret the waste of time. I felt that was when I tried Sims 3 for a bit.
I kinda liked it, if only the idea of interacting with my friends was intriguing. But then I ran out of energy where it then asks you to either BUY MORE or spam my friends with annoying requests for them to give me more. No thanks, I'd rather play the REAL Sims where I can play for as long as I want without the need for microtransactions.
Yeah, the energy type stuff really kills any of the Facebook games, also having to spam your friends for specific items to advance further in the game is also pretty crap. If they didn't have any of that, Facebook games would be pretty decent, at least something to do.
