Out of all the arcade machines that I've seen in real life at friend's houses, this is the top sighted for me.

I remember every year my family would go to this campground every year and they had a Simpsons arcade machine where if you put in a quarter you got 99 lives. Why go outside and see nature when you can play Simpsons?
It's taken over a decade, but finally, there will be a Simpsons related product that I'll actually be able to enjoy looking at on the flickety-picture box.
At the very least, it gives those waiting for Dragon's Crown to get a solid release date a beat-em-up to play and also hope to reliably find other people to play it with online other than Castle Crashers.
I can definitely see most of the players bought in by Kinect (and Oprah's onscreen magic)downloading this as soon as they are able to, so that is practically a guaranteed million or so people to play full on 4-player with at any given time of day or night.

Ugh. I KNOW this will never come to Steam. C'mon, Konami. Neither you or I want me to pirate this using MAME. Why not just broaden your sources of income?
I've said this elsewhere but I'm not as excited for this as others are. When asked "but but but, it's the Simpsons arcade game!" which isn't even a question, by the way, my response is that it's still too soon for me to 'shit my pants' or 'jizz myself' since I still very much remember actually playing it in actual arcades. Looking at Wikipedia tells me the game's release date (March 4, 1991), which tells me that I was playing this in arcades before most of the people who post on here were even born!

Free for PS+ subscribers??!! Free Far Cry 2 (already got the retail release), free FFV (damn it! I already bought it! Oh well, that $10 was time spent well), and the whole Back To The Future episodes, has already justified my new subscription!
PS+ is sick this month, and this is literally the icing on the cake.

This was my favorite beat'em up as a kid. Mainly because it was cartoony as hell and my usual gaming slate involved cartoony mascots. Jimjim was always a platformer boy at heart.
Sunset Riders, Violent Storm and a proper version of Turtles in Time please Konami.

Nostalgia ftw. I loved it in the arcades as a nipper as much as anyone, but lets face facts, this was an outrageously generic brawler, albeit a very colourful one. Also, fair play to PS+ Subscribers!!
I just hope it's not a "legaly safe" remake like the one on ios or Turtles in Time reshelled that crap was a disappoint
Man, we've been waiting ages for this to come home. Of course like X-men and TMNT it'll be fun for a short while and then the novelty of a 20 year old arcade beat 'em up will wear off.
Best thing about this game however were the team up attacks! Just stand near another player for a few seconds and viola' you're fighting together with powered attacks! Marge kicks ass btw!

Free for PS+!!!! This is such awesome news that I'm tearing up. The Gods of gaming once again send us gifts of happiness.
I sense a storm coming - The tears of millions of fanboys wearing rose colored glasses when they realize the Simpsons arcade game is just as lame as the TMNT and X-Men arcade games.
Now Sunset Riders on the other hand is better than X-Men, Simpsons, and TMNT combined.

As long as I can not beat it in under 20 minutes like the X:men Arcade game, I think we beat it in like 16 mins.....it was great nostalgic trip but no way in hell worth the $10.

@JamnOnTheOne: Pfffft. Keep Sunset Riders. Everyone knows the G.I. Joe arcade game was the bomb that fell off the chain after the chain fell off the hook.
Finally, all the elusive Konami arcade exclusives (TMNT, X-Men & The Simpsons) are not so exclusive. Sure, they're not a great as they were in those smoke filled arcades of our youth, but they're still cool. Does anyone know what the Japanese version has that's different? I hope it's Mr. Sparkle, but I'm pretty sure that episode came out after the arcade game.
