The Showdown Effect is back with a new trailer
The next game from the studio behind Magicka seemed intriguing knowing who was making it and that there would be movie-cliché humor. If there's anything to get me to play a multiplayer sidescrolling shooter, it's probably that kind of approach, from the minds of people like Arrowhead Game Studios. Ever since seeing The Showdown Effect at E3, we haven't heard much about the project. Now that it has resurfaced with a trailer, one thing is for sure: this presents itself far better in motion. I can't quite put my finger on what it is about the art style (the particle effects?), but it's looking better than I remember. If you're down for this, be sure to sign up for the beta. Did you know?
