its also the same MMO from 10 years ago with a different coat of paint. Thats what some people like, but its not going to bring in people who are tired of that formula.

Let me explain what it is:
It's an MMO with de-emphasized combat, no levels, quests that involve staying away from enemies, quests that involve ARGs and fictional websites that you can google right here, right now, and stories that are actually interesting and compelling to follow. It is, literally, the most interesting thing to arrive on the scene in ages - and this coming from someone who almost never plays MMOs for longer than three days: I'm planning to keep playing this one.

I am a big HP Lovecraft/Cthulu fan, so this may interest me a bit.

Another clunky, buggy, poorly maintained MMO from Funcom that's already causing upper-management to abandon ship. Like always, they make a pretty trailer.

The game looks cool, but I don't like the idea of paying $15 a month just to play one game that I already bought.
Aside from the horrendously butchered Max Richter song (would have been far more effective had they just used the original), the trailer was intriguing, but not enough for me to not wait a few months when it'll be free to play.
I've never been interested in an MMO before, but this looks pretty cool. I wonder if my system would have a chance of handling it, I don't normally game on PC.
I bought the game yesterday and played some missions, the missions are really cool and the Atmosphere is nice too. The whole ability wheel is interesting.
EA? Nope, not doing it. To be honest I have seen an hour or two with game content, the game caught my attention despite the combat looking rather generic and weak, but with EA publishing it and it being subscription based I really don't wanna go for it. Going to wait till EA decides that it should be pay2win and then maybe try to play it for free.
i thought it looked quite cool, so i went to the website to find out how much it costs per month. it didn't say. so i left, and i won't go back. i will now forget about this game.

@Derek Kupper: Yes. However, it seems that most of the idiots that browse only the front page of Destructoid don't know that.
TheEdge is correct actually there was talk of this game about 10 years ago when Everquest hit it big and made the MMO genre viable. I had been following what I could about this game since then even though most of the time there was NO information at all. The main buy in for me was it was based off the Cthulhu mythos. I did get into a few of the beta weekends to give it a go. I think in total I played a few hours as it really did nothing for me. The combat felt clunky and it felt like the learning curve on it might be too steep. Maybe that has changed since then but already paying for one MMO (and enjoying it) that is not WoW and not going to pay for another.
