So true, any long time gamer knows that a little hot coffee isn't even scratching the surface. If there's going to be an industry whipping boy, we need not look at Rockstar, but jump back 20 years ago to 1986 when public arcade games just barely had enough video processing power to render gore in 320x240 resolution. One that immediately comes to my mind is this light gun Exidy classic about four rooms of the old fashioned justice system. I was playing this game when I was 9 years old. Hmm, well maybe I didn't exactly turn out ok, but I'm let's keep going.
What's more offensive - torturing and murdering bound naked people
Chiller or running over cops with an ice cream truck? Depends on what your folks did at home I guess! But I guess there's no money to collect from Chiller so this isn't convenient.
